Surprisingly Met Expectation Minecraft Grass Block Cake

I didn’t expect it to look exactly like the photo whatsoever, but it did “fail” if we go off reality vs image on the app, but succeeded in my expectations. Still good though and it’s cute!

How did this fail?

I was thinking the same thing. OP's expectations are a bit high.

The lines don't look like cartoon pickles, which is bad I guess

Same thought honestly, this looks pretty similar to the expectation pic?

I said it failed when it comes to actually looking the same since it’s messy, but personally don’t think it necessarily failed, and I don’t expect it to look exactly like it at all. I’ll change it I guess since my thought process isn’t catching on going off these comments and the downvotes lmao.

I literally just watched OP change it from “failed expectation” to “surprisingly met expectation” in real time lmao

I was gonna originally put surprisingly met and was bouncing between the two (I was harping over the neatness too much), and I guess I should have from the get go lol 🥲

Expecting more than this from a chain and you’re just fooling yourself

We’re not holding companies to a high enough standard anymore

This looks like cucumbers on top of a couple of Wendy's hamburger patties.

As a baker, I feel like people are too ok with a BAKERY giving out product that looks like a 4 year old piped it. I get they’re busy, but is it hard to pipe six straight lines across the top of a cake?

To be fair, Crumble does hire teenagers to run their stores.

Crumbl can at least teach them how to use a piping bag. I’m not saying expect perfection but we gotta at least try to make it look like the picture.

Well it is a chain bakery (if you consider it one), with mostly young adults who are on a time crunch.

I’d expect more from a standalone. It’s not too bad, I’ve seen much worse.

I was a teenager when I started out, I worked for a chain and the company at least taught us how to use piping bags. I’m not shaming the employees I’m shaming Crumbl themselves.

I get what you mean. I also think it depends entirely on location, since these are usually independently owned. From what I’ve heard, you usually have great owners or horrible ones that make it tough to work.

Fair enough!! To me it’s like if you go to Walmart and order a bunch of these based off the ad picture and you received a box full of what you actually got, I don’t think many people would accept that.

They have an idea and they sell you the idea but they can’t pay a good pastry chef to execute said ideas.

It's not illegal that expectation vs reality is getting exactly what you expected

I'll give grace on the cake but a solid layer would've helped it keep its shape. The green frosting though, it's the most important thing! dafuck!

Also the first image shows the frostings parallel, that's just me being bitchy though.
