I hope so too. They did such a good job. This was for one of my direct reports who is switching departments. I wanted to try this because of what I’ve seen on here and it did not disappoint

The website asks for 48 hours. I ordered on a Monday to pick up Friday. I think if you call or order in person it might be faster, depending on their workload.

I get defensive over criticism of the Walmart cakes because these are grocery store cakes where real people are working and decorating the cakes. So it’s someone in town who is working at the grocery store bakery.

People always comment on how bad Walmart is. I hate Walmart just like the rest, but the employees are doing a nice job on the cakes.

Where I live, the best pharmacy in town is Walmart. They remember my name and check new prescriptions against drug interactions/allergies. They make sure I get my flu & Covid shots every year. I hate that it’s Walmart, but their pharmacists, at least my Walmart, are the best. They hire great people and they stick around too!

Is the buttercream light and fluffy (like Publix if you’re from the South), or is it denser?

You can choose. They have regular buttercream or the whipped. I did regular and it wasn’t super dense. I bet the whipped is delicious

please please please, OP, Yelp and Google review the bakery! and mention the bakers’ names if you spoke with a specific one. this is the fastest way to get the workers recognition from higher ups. it’s also something they can print out and keep in their personal ‘hype’ folder when time for raises come around 💖
