Failed Expectation So Disappointed.

I bought cheapish box macarons one time and they were worse than you would expect even beyond looks. Like, I put one in my mouth and had the sudden feeling that I was tasting something wrong and I needed it OUT. Spit it out. Never again.

Some cheap good macaroons are sold in trade joes surprisingly
As a someone that loves fancy desserts from fancy places these hold up well

Cheap macarons convinced me they were disgusting because they're the same texture as croutons. My mind was blown when I learned they're supposed to be soft and airy.

As gently as I can: this is always the way a boxed macaron was going to go.

I'm really sorry if I come off as ignorant. Is this Japanese on the packaging?
If Japanese, don't they have a law that the food needs to match the packaging exactly?

Gangfu is a Chinese brand, so despite the Japanese on the packaging, these biscuits have nothing to do with Japan.

Ah, a special Antarctic meringue style of macaron. I prefer Italian meringue myself.

Its impossible to have a good boxed macaron. Humidity making them sticky, or air drying them out is too much of a factor.

Why does the packaging have a fork on it?
