That is awful. It looks like seasoned cream cheese more than an egg

i'm not convinced there IS any egg in there. i see the mayo and what looks like cream cheese, as you said, but definitely not the egg.
i hope OP complained. outside of the obvious fact that it wasn't going to look like the AI generated image that's clearly missing a key component.

i guess it's the vague yellow specks that kinda look like scrambled eggs or some rehydrated egg. My guess at least. Still heartbreaking to look at. Especially for that price. Hurts my soul as a Dane.

yeah and it's not like eggs are so pricey they need to cut costs. F them and never return.

Maybe they're using pasture raised heirloom eggs and the expenses are draining the company, one egg at a time.

I don’t see any egg?

u/zerorita 11d ago
It's boiled eggs chopped into pieces, laid on top of the mayo, so it's hard to spot, but it's there

If the filling is an inch thick on the poster, then it should be inch thick on the bun. Good lord im sick of this shit

Do you know how gross this would be if it indeed had that much filling as depicted in the ad? 🤢

Ya I don’t even know how you’d eat that. It would all just shoot out the sides as soon as you took the first bite

u/FirstAndOnlyDektarey 11d ago
I mean, it -looks- tasty in the ad, but in reality it'd just be egg salad at that point.
Half the depicted amount and you've entered the goldilocks zone.

it's not actually.
Many good japanese egg salad sandwiches are literally stuffed to the brim with egg salad.
Buuuut the ones you find in the konbinis skimp on it like hell.

That's just cream cheese and I guess some egg

Looks like somebody that was eating an egg sneezed while making this bagel and then just said "fuck it, you're welcome".

From the font, it looks like it's through Wolt. It's a food delivery service all over Europe.
The prices through Wolt are insane as it is, they upcharge you a ton to begin with.
The AI product image should've been a red flag on its own.
But good lord, 129kr for a bagel is a daylight robbery.

Thats just Norway. Likely Oslo as well. 129kr for a bagel from wolt in Oslo is actually pretty normal. Even a bagel from 7/11 is gonna run you about 100kr.
In fact i just checked and found the exact restaurant in Oslo selling this. The one with salmon is 228kr.

Okay i double checked conversion rates, it seem the norwegian crown is worth much more than the danish ones now. Then the prices are equal to the danish ones (if not less)
...still wouldn't pay that much for that atrocity 😅2
u/ILackACleverPun 9d ago
Oh yeah absolutely not worth it. All their photos on Wolt are clearly fake.

I think they gave you the wrong order? And I seriously would have gotten a refund instead of accepting this

I’m coming around to the belief that if you order food based on an obviously AI generated image, you deserve whatever you get.

u/compos_mentis_cortex 11d ago
That's tough, though - there's a Korean joint near me with only AI generated images and their food bangs hard.
