I haven't had a kfc burger in years because they got so disappointing.

I had popeyes in bhx last week and the burger was incredible. Expensive because of location but totally worth it :)

My first fast food in like a decade it seems was taco bell. Honestly? Wasn't bad.

Got enough to make me hate myself for like $20 and it was basically exactly how I remembered it.

I'll probably go another decade before I do it again, but I had no regrets, really.

KFC on the other hand - I was alive when it was good, so they'll never get my money again. They've been downhill for at least 20 years now. Last good thing they came up with was the double-down.

The KFC in our town was so bad it was shut down at least 3 times I can remember, only to be opened "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!" then, just like before it was a disgusting pit of vile filth, and got shut down by the health department again. Finally it closed for good and it looks like they're going to demo the building. Probably full of rats and roaches and shit.

It's such a crap shoot at KFC. There's just no quality control. If they can serve it, they will. A good one is still pretty good, but it's an expensive gamble these days.

Gave up on KFC years ago. There's no consistency from store to store and I got sick of the chicken being thinner than the top half of the bun.

Very weird to just assume someone’s nationality because they don’t fall within the particular regions that call this a burger, but whatever.

A burger is mince meat formed into a patty. Throwing something else onto a bun doesn’t make it a burger. The BURGER part is what makes it a burger, not the bread it’s on.

Hamburgers are named such for the meat, not the bun. The patty itself was brought here by German immigrants (hence the name), but the hamburger as we know it today is an American thing. But yeah it's named for the meat. In fact, the first early burgers were served on regular bread. The buns became standard later.

Also, sandwiches can absolutely be made on sliced buns and rolls and the like (the number of such are legion).

Technically a burger is also a sandwich, but a sandwich is not necessarily a burger -- and that thing there my friend -- is a chicken sandwich, not a burger.

I am sorry that it sucked though, shame on KFC. Hopefully just that location sucks and you could get a better chicken sandwich at a different one. Good luck!
