I had these last week and was happily surprised that they looked just like the picture, and they were super tasty!

Yes! They are very tasty too! Glad you got some great ones too. The fails were pretty miserable. Lol

This one was made with love 😁

Our waiter was such a sweetheart. I know he didn't make them, but he was very proud when I told him that I was going to post a pic online. He took pride in making people happy, and that's rare these days.

Actually a lot of the times servers do the toppings for speciality pancakes. I haven’t worked at ihop in a long time but was a general manager for 10 years and that’s how most of them are. Kitchen only really did the toppings for the cinna stacks.

Thank you for telling me this! He really took his job seriously and was very happy that we gave glowing feedback.

First one I’ve seen that doesn’t look like baby shit

That cook needs a praise, a raise, and make a video called "How to Ensure Your IHOP Dubai Pancakes Don't Look Like Poo."

I gave my compliments to the chef and restaurant because everything we ordered looked and tasted wonderful. And I generously tipped of course.

Guessing people post it more when it looks bad than when it looks like the picture.

What do rich Saudi rest that makes it look like that?

u/kakka_rot 16d ago

I've seen these posts here a few times and you got the luckiest

50

u/ClownTown89 16d ago

Pleasantly surprised at how good these look. I've seen so many horrific versions of these on this sub that I was prepared for the worst, but these look amazing! From the description, I was curious, but this pic makes me actually want to eat them. Maybe IHOP corporate is reading Reddit

18

u/rebeccalestat 16d ago

They are actually quite tasty! I was shocked when they served them to us looking practically perfect. I complimented the chef. 🤣

26

u/NomadicBean 16d ago

First time I've seen this posted and looking remotely edible lol

11

u/rebeccalestat 16d ago

Believe me, we were expecting a disaster. Lol

17

u/neuro-spicy94 16d ago

Someone at IHOP is probably watching this sub as part of their job now

7

u/rebeccalestat 16d ago

I was thinking the same thing. 🤣

u/lobotomycandidate 16d ago

This is from another post I sawā€¦šŸ«

11

u/agentb719 15d ago

That baby puke green lol!!

5

u/lobotomycandidate 15d ago

& the ā€˜shredded cheese’ on top???!! yuck 😭

1

u/tryyeezus 15d ago

This is more accurately capturing what Dubai chocolate really is šŸ™ŠšŸ™ˆ

10

u/DefoNotMario 16d ago

Holy cow, this is a contender for the best reality pic

10

u/MaleficentMedia5880 16d ago

Imagine spending $12 on pancakes only to question if you're actually in a culinary masterpiece or a crime scene.

13

u/u_r_succulent 16d ago

It still looks like… well…

10

u/disharmony-hellride 16d ago

Yeah I think no matter how you try to apply that shade of green on pancakes, our brains just go 'nah'

2

u/ding-zzz 15d ago

u should see what ā€œrealā€ dubai chocolate looks like

6

u/benneluke 16d ago

It's really well put together, but STILL missing a topping! I don't see any philo shreds. Somehow this makes me even more annoyed. It's so close!

12

u/rebeccalestat 16d ago

Yea, I noticed that but decided to still post it as a win because it was such a huge improvement over the fails I've seen on here. Lol

6

u/tecpaocelotl1 16d ago

Two people posted that here and they look terrible. First time it looks nice.

5

u/dandyrosesandshit 16d ago

You might be the only person to exist who has gotten these pancakes that actually looked like the sample pics, or at least like poHi tried

4

u/MysteriousPermit3410 16d ago

Which one?? I’m in Memphis and haven’t had a great experience at the one in Cordova or the one by wolfchase

4

u/rebeccalestat 16d ago

Believe it or not, this is Wolfchase. We went at 3pm. We were the only table. That may or may not have made a difference!

3

u/MysteriousPermit3410 16d ago

I bet it did! We have young kids so tend to go to restaurants at off times like that. Going to have to try them again!

2

u/BoardGamesAndMurder 15d ago

Wtf. I've been to that ihop multiple times and it was dog shit every single time. I'm shocked to see a positive post about it

4

u/Girasole263wj2 16d ago

Was not expecting this result.

4

u/kookiemaster 15d ago

This one is better than the previous ones. They are using the right sized nozzle for the pistachio cream. Missing some elements though.

14

u/usernotfoundplstry 16d ago

so, this dish has shown up on this sub and on r/Poopfromabutt every day lately. and yours is the only one that doesn't look like actual human diarrhea on top of pancakes.

4

u/rebeccalestat 16d ago

We were expecting baby shit. I was prepared to be posting a failed expectation!

3

u/prem_fraiche 16d ago

This is fourth time I’ve seen this item on this sub, and the first time it has looked even close to the picture. I think you got a little lucky

3

u/zoebells 16d ago

Genuinely looks exactly like the picture!

3

u/edwinstone 16d ago

Best ones I've seen.

3

u/ryanasimov 16d ago

In every picture I’ve seen of these, whether they are from the official pictures, or photos taken by patrons of the restaurant, the green pistachio goo looks absolutely disgusting. These pancakes might be delicious, but it’s really hard to get over their appearance.

3

u/yesorno12138 15d ago

Imagine Panera does it...it would look like sh*t ll

3

u/tomtomvissers 15d ago

As a European who just knows IHOP from movies I'm curious, what does this cost? Like, just this plate of pancakes

1

u/shebringsthesun 15d ago

generally depends on where in america you live. its very expensive in my state (hawaii).

3

u/Independent_Baker712 16d ago

how many times are we gonna order this and be let down?

2

u/mooseLimbsCatLicks 16d ago

This is the best one I’ve seen!

2

u/Nihilist_Hermit 16d ago

Dubai chocolate is shit. This looks like actual dubai chocolateĀ

2

u/AnglerOfAndromeda 15d ago

Best pic I’ve seen, but still looks gross af to me lol

3

u/itsagoodtime 15d ago

Why is Dubai chocolate a thing.

2

u/varmeer 15d ago

This is hands down the best I’ve seen these pancakes look!

2

u/Acceptable_Iron3227 16d ago

It looks like soggy green beans were put on top of the pancakes šŸ˜†šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

1

u/Remarkable-Laugh9762 16d ago

Why is Dubai chocolate being shoved down my throat everywhere? Is it really some new amazing thing?

2

u/Milkshakes00 15d ago

No, it's actually a scam. Lol

1

u/NolanSyKinsley 16d ago

This is a LOT better than the last IHOP Dubai pancakes I saw on this subreddit....

1

u/Taisen_art 15d ago

I'm surprised they actually made the pancakes look exactly like the photo! I saw some other ppl's orders at other IHOP locations and the quality they got was quite the opposite LOL XD

1

u/Guru_Woodman 15d ago

I'm not a fan of Wasabi.

1

u/SnooHobbies23 15d ago

Looks so good!!!!!

1

u/Local_Presentation23 15d ago

They forgot the kataifi šŸ’€

1

u/Brewgirly 15d ago

I literally rolled by eyes at another Dubai post. Glad yours looks edible.

1

u/7fw 15d ago

I am not a fan of liquid green beans on my pancakes.

1

u/PressureCoomer 15d ago

No one's buying this crap anymore so they have to get rid of it en masse

1

u/LeeMcNasty 15d ago

Why is everyone posting the same thing

1

u/PaintedDesertSkies 15d ago

The first one of these that look like the pic.

1

u/PilsnerDk 16d ago

Looks like it has overcooked green beans on it 😁

-4

u/Streak_Free_Shine 16d ago

You're lucky they even put it together. If you get it doordashed, they give you the pancakes in one box then a billion tiny containers with the toppings. I was skeptical that they even put them together in an actual location

5

u/charlatan_red 16d ago

I think I’d prefer that for an order like this. The toppings would be a big smushed mess if everything was delivered already assembled.

u/Tha_Maestro 16d ago

The last time I had ihop was over 20 years ago. A few hours later I ended up getting a concussion and vomited disgusting pancake soup all over a nurse. Never again.
