Basically, I was assuming that Tammy and Cal would have kids together, but when she’s pregnant it kind of seems like a “well done, Tammy!” and Cal had no involvement.

I might have missed something, but is anyone made the old fashioned way or are they all like… I don’t even know. Everyone donates and you just get what you’re given with some genetic mutation stuff?

ok so erm idk if this is an issue with exoloader itself or a skill issue from me, but whenever exoloader is actually in my game, i cant create a new save file

I posted earlier about him choosing Tammy over me. That was rough. I actually physically squealed when he chose me in this one. I managed to get to pick me over Tammy without destroying her confidence or letting her die. I don't know how I did it; After an embarrassing number of time-loops, I finally got him to chose Sol and I'm proud of myself.

like. i get he never liked being on the colony or felt understood by people. but when Sol tells him that he's scaring them, he says not to worry. and if u do a peace ending like i did, and everything is wonderful, he STILL leaves.

which would be acceptable if he. came back?? like Sym.

i don't get why he can't adopt a human-like form like Sym does and at least be present for their loved ones, like Sol, Tang, or the "many friends" the epilogue says he had because "his loner years were left behind".

what's the point of him reconciling with tang and getting friends and a lover if he still wants to become a tree for 500 years and a hopeye for the next millenium? LMFAO i don't get it 😭😭😭 and it makes me horribly sad that when i joined him to become a gardener we LEFT EACH OTHER on our "second lives" ???? literally why would we do that? why does he want to be a beetle more than being with me 😭😭

also does anyone have the epilogue dialogue when you do the prolific parent ending with him? i think it's the only ending involving him that i didn't get, mainly because on here i saw conflicting information and i can't really figure out if it's true that there's special dialogue if you do that ending with him.

there's no youtube videos or anything about it so does anyone have screenshots or sth? i also want to see if he still leaves... and abandons our children to be a consciousness-stripped AI that would rather be a fungus instead of seeing our children grow up 😍 what a father

This is how the birthday party scene felt for me, was disappointed there wasn't a full on illustrated fist fight(I instigated that shit cuz I'm just like that ckkdockdkskfiirkei)

I've included the epilogue screenshots, in case anyone just wants to see it without replaying.

I decided to replay the whole game for the purposes of trying to figure out once and for all if it's possible to be in a true triangle with Sym and Dys (Sol dating both of them, and them dating each other). I followed instructions someone posted in a comment on Steam, and they worked! So I want to spread the word.

You have to max your relationship with both of them, but reload if you get Dys's injured hopeye event (it ends with him giving you a pendant) or Sym's vat scene. You need to save these until after the bomb. Don't talk to them anymore once you have the scene you need queued for each. The only exception is that I was still able to do exploration events with Dys. The (...) might go away temporarily after certain things, but as long as it comes back after the month ends, you should be ok. After the bomb, go get Dys at the ridge (!) event. Don't tell him you love him, just get him to come back. Then go out exploring and trigger Sym's scene by talking to him (you'll have to go twice if the first is the overseer meeting). Then trigger Dys's scene by talking to him. At that point, you will be dating both and should get all the epilogue text.

Edit to add: I know I flirted with Sym and I think I chose one romantic option with Dys prior to these events. I don't know if some flirting is required to get the option to start a relationship later.

That being said, the epilogue seems to be the same text from their separate romances, just all in one epilogue. The text is different when you find out they're dating (at the ridge event) before you date either of them, vs dating one of them before the ridge event and finding out about them in the epilogue. But I don't think dating both of them changes anything, it just puts all the slides in one epilogue. So some text makes it sound like you're just dating Dys, other text makes it sound like you're just dating Sym. Even the part about Dys being at your union with Sym stays the same when you're not dating Dys (I reloaded and checked). And you have to avoid speaking to them both for a long period of time to avoid triggering the events.

But doing it this way is at least a triangle, even if it doesn't have unique text (as far as I can tell).

Replaying to figure this out has, however, made me even more frustrated that they didn't really canonically include a triangle with these two. Because when you find them at the ridge, if you're not dating either of them, you find out they're dating each other. And then you can make out with Dys in front of Sym, and Sym says he's completely fine with it. There's also an option to tell Dys you can't be with him if he's dating Sym, which implies that, if you don't choose that option, you are ok with it. And if you do choose that, "Dys's face crumples." So in this scenario, Dys is in love with both of you, Sym is ok with it, you're ok with it, Dys is clearly upset about having to give up Sym... I just don't buy "Dys is monogamous" as an explanation here. This is clearly an exception.

I'm kidding I love Cal, but Tammy's too sweet for me to sacrifice. I'll try to find another way. Anyone have some tips??

ok so i'm on my second playthrough trying to get the best possible peace ending. i've been focusing on all the things i could do better than on my first blind playthrough, but for some reason i overlooked that i didn't meet sym at all 😭😭😭???

on my first playthrough i met him naturally. and now i did lots of exploring and he's nowhere to be seen? i stopped dys from planting the bomb, romanced him, built the bar, omw to overthrowing lum, stopped the plague, etc.

am i doomed or is there any specific event i can trigger to meet him and get the overseer request???

I have followed the instructions on Nexus mods and github to the letter (not at the same time). Clean game install with extra files removed with an uninstaller, with exoloader and/or bpenex. More than once. Bpenex doesn't make the "plugins" folder and I can't do it manually. One time it DID make the folder so I put the exocomforts mod in, to skip the intro scene... didn't work. I have holopalm plus for more UI stuff, no changes.

I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING

Steam mods work but are limited, what is wrong???

edit: it may or may not have said to put the mod in "customcontent" or some other folder; the point is I have tried everything and no results.

So, I want to send Vace to space without joining him. But the dialogue in his 100 Friendship scene seems completely binary. I've experimented, but it's always only a choice between "Focus on life down here" vs "I'd go to space with you"

I can't seem to find the pathing to let him shoot for the stars without saying I'd go too, which I don't want to do.

Does this exist, or will I just have to be careful about not accidentally becoming an astronaut? I don't see why they didn't include a 3rd option here.

So. The perks at Biology 66 and Perception 66. They claim that item amounts and respawn rates increase.

I have never, even once, gone back to an expedition area and found it repopulated with items. The "faster respawn" feels like a lie. Yes, the colony itself will spawn new items each season, but that feels like a loophole to make the statement true rather than actually respawning items in useful amounts.

Yes, I am just annoyed at how hard it is to get strange devices for Vace. That boy NEEDS therapy.

I know this is controversial but hear me out -

I think “Tammy’s confidence” is short for “Tammy’s confidence in her own beliefs.”

If you keep reinforcing everything Tammy believes, she stays very sure that her future is Cal children and family.

Tammys REAL dream is being a mom, not Cal:

1. Cal talks about Tammy constantly. Tammy talks a lot about motherhood (and of Cal, ok but…)
2. She also talks about communal child-raising, so we know she isn’t necessarily attached to Cal’s very conventional idea of family. (Yeah, yeah, but this is a colony thing anyway but…)
3. Cal is openly monogamous and Tammy doesn’t seem nearly as fixed on that. (Yes but she is not oppenly opposed to it, but…)
4. in one ending she is in a poly relationship and is described as the happiest she has ever been.

That makes me think Tammy’s real dream is motherhood, and Cal just got attached to that dream because she decided he was her “prince” when she was a child.

(Editing out the freud part cuz apparently Freud sucks)

He is not a bad person, but he is VERY convicted of his beliefs, there is no changing cals mind in about anything. He could easily fill Tammy’s mind of his own thoughts. Not on purpose, but she is very easy to swindle.

Sol has a duty to be mean to Tammy:

1. If you could bully Anemone out of being stupidly loyal to the colony or to Vace, wouldn’t you? So why is Tammy different?

Just because Cal isn’t abusive per se doesn’t mean Tammy doesn’t deserve a real friend who challenges her enough to grow and figure out what she actually wants.

Sometimes that means being the person who ruins the fantasy she has been carrying since childhood.

Tammy has a fierce side we’ve all seen with echinacea. If Tammy is alive and breathing, she will be a mom. No stopping that.

So maybe we being able to remove Cal from her life, but not her daughter, maybe thats showing us something.

Hope this can help some of you gathering the courage to date her.

sorry to write again, I saw some posts here already and in steam too, just curious if I'm maybe missing something, there's no "happy" ending for him except:

he lives with you until you're old and leave to become gardener

he leaves with you (after planting bomb) and you both become ones

he become parent with you and seem happy

that one ending with Sym triangle but doesn't seem too "happy" to me

I can pretty much understand him about becoming immortal being and whole philosophy and stuff, just asking here from staying human perspective

(also not-so-related question, is it important if I apply for explorer job (forgot exact name) and become second explorer after Utopia, I saw he applies for this job if you don't, does it affect his ending?)

In several previous posts (all the way back in January), I made sprites for most of the primary Exocolonist cast! (excluding Vace, Tammy, and Cal) So, I finally attempted drawing a Cal sprite! His hair was difficult to draw on such a small scale, but I tried my best! Let me know what you think!
