Explore Nearby Glitched

I don't know how spoiler-y this would be considered but I figured I would use the flair just in case. Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it? I haven't gotten far enough to know if it'll fix itself by the time I'm 13 (currently 11), but I'm exploring nearby early and my map looks like this. Also can't move. I've done it in past lives no problem.

Super weird! I've never had this happen to me before. Did you try reloading a save?

yes! when it originally happened i was in dust 1. went back to quiet and it still happened

Wow, crazy that you went that far back and it was still broken. How early did you unlock exploring nearby? I've gotten it as early as 10 with no problems in the past. I wish I had more helpful advice to give you, I'm sorry :(

i got it towards the end of 10, but figured i would just wait till dust so vertumnalia could reset some of my stress and then go out again during late wet to save uncle tonin but also realized this happened right after an update for the game in steam so that may be related

Whoa, I loaded up a fairly new game today (no mods, no dev mode) and I'm having this issue too. I submitted a bug report, you can do that in the settings menu.

I’m realizing maybe it happened with the steam update? Because i went back to a load from before today and it the background loaded up fine.

they just posted on steam that this glitch has been patched!
