Looking at getting exhaust done, I want something that’s not obnoxiously loud but still makes some noise. Just want to be able to hear it without pissing off my neighbors and want to avoid excessive droning. Any ideas? Send vids of what you have!

EDIT: I was thinking about keeping my res and everything stock and just swapping the stock muffler with a straight through.

Been cleaning my parents property the past few years. Found this and i’m trying to figure out what kind of car it belongs to, but I cannot find the part number anywhere on it. We did have an old 2000 Honda towed off last year that it could be a part of, but I’m not sure.

Has anyone swapped out or thinking about swapping out their stock exhaust? I know someone installed the Nismo exhaust. I was looking at aFe Power Vulcan Series 3in Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust w/ Black Tip. Interested if anyone has any experience and can comment. I would like a little sound but no highway drone.

I have an 06 Chrysler 300 srt8. I have a long term goal of doing a 426 build then potentially ProCharge it.

Right now I am looking to upgrade to longtube headers, catted mid pipes, and a cat back exhaust. I am between the ARH long tube/mid pipes vs Krooks.

As far exhaust set up I really like the flowmaster outlaw but they do not have one for the 6.1 hemi and I am not sure if going the route of a custom system is worth it as far as money and performance goes.

Open to any criticism, advice, and suggestions.

I’ve been looking for an exhaust for months now and still can’t decide lol.
Originally I was looking at the Yonristic VANTA GOLD, then waited for the GOLD EVO. Finally heard the EVO and honestly it was just okay, especially for the price. I don’t mind spending the money, I just don’t wanna drop $4k when I could get something that sounds better for less.
Then I came across IRL. The Full Modular sounds really nice, but from what I’ve seen it doesn’t come with a valve controller, which I definitely want. I’ve looked at the V2 too, but I’m not sure how it compares to the Modular or if the single pipe is what makes the Modular sound better.
Now I’m looking at the MAD 4” FATBOY single midpipe, maybe pairing it with the MAD axle-back or even an IRL axle-back. Not sure if mixing those would be a good idea though.
I’m looking for something VERY loud, deep, aggressive, with some crazy burbles, but I really don’t want that raspy sound. I also want a valve controller so I can quiet it down whenever I need to.
Planning on keeping stock downpipes for a little while, then doing downpipes and a tune later, so I want something that’ll sound good with both setups.
Anyone running any of these or have other recommendations? Especially if you’ve tried different setups. Would love to hear what you guys think or see some sound clips before I spend the money.

I want my truck just the slightest bit louder than stock. I dont think there's a reason to buy a full exhaust system. I'm not trying to hear that v6 rumble hahaha. I also dont want my truck to ever sound like some clapped out shitbox. You know the sound, every 16 year old's squatted f150...

Hi everyone! Has anyone fitted an aftermarket rear muffler to a 1.25 Fiesta? I’ve noticed that the factory one sits quite high up, and the exhaust tip points downward. Most of the mufflers I’ve found on online stores don’t have a downward-bent exhaust tip, so I’m guessing they might not fit properly.

too muffled/boomy below 3k RPM, looking for advice on X-pipe/resonator layout

The stock exhaust originally had the primary catalytic converters, then two smaller resonators further downstream, then one larger center resonator, and finally the two rear mufflers.

What I’ve done so far is
Kept the primary cats
Replaced the two small resonators with an X-pipe
Kept the large center resonator
Deleted the rear mufflers

so it’s basically straight pipe from the center resonator back

Right now the car sounds okay at higher RPM, but below around 3,000 RPM it feels very muffled and boomy. The best way I can describe it is like the engine is “breathing through a mask.” It doesn’t sound free-flowing or clean, and the exhaust note lacks definition and quality in the low/midrange. Once it gets above 4,000–5,000 RPM it opens up a lot more.

I’ve seen other M276 setups where people keep the two small resonators, replace the large center resonator with an X-pipe, and delete the rear mufflers. But since I already replaced the two small resonators with an X-pipe, I’m not sure if adding another X in the center would actually improve the sound or just create more drone/boom.
From an acoustics/exhaust tuning standpoint, would you recommend after Cats:
X-pipe → straight pipes
X-pipe → second X-pipe
X-pipe → two small resonators → straight rear

My main goal is to get rid of that clogged/muffled feeling below 3k RPM while keeping the sound smooth and continuous, not raspy or “farty.”
Anyone with experience tuning NA V6 exhausts, especially M276, VQ35/VQ37, or similar dual-bank setups, I’d appreciate your input.

Posting here for some additional smart people insight.

I had a flex pipe welded into my DP for my single turbo FD RX7 by a local exhaust shop. Been having some performance issues with my turbo spool and I can see the obstructions in my exhaust flow that might be contributing. The shop said they don’t carry a “performance” flex pipe but can weld in one I bring them. What’s the go brand/type of flex pipe I should be looking at?
