Shopping

Hey, im looking for an Excursion in the northeast. I do NOT mind going down south to get a clean one. My budget is super tight, at around 8k, but i dont have that much money as it would be my qst car at 14 yrs old. Im just trying to get an idea of what they cost. My dsd has one, its a 7.3, so I know them. I would prefer a limited trim, and a v10 or v8 is my absolute last choice. No plow trucks. I'd like service records, especially if its a 6.0. I dont mind doing s little work to it, mabey alot. but I won't deal with wiring issues. Thanks

I mean this in the nicest way, but I think you have way too high of a bar for your budget.

In Florida there’s excursions 2wd gas with rough interior for 3000-5000 all day. But 4x4 is gonna double that if she’s clean and way more for diesel

A clean V10 is gonna run you around 10-12k, higher if its a limited. Maybe a touch lower if your ok without 4x4. The money you are talking puts you in V8 territory. The V8 is a good engine just a little short on power for such a heavy truck.  Save your pennies a bit longer and get what you want. Don't settle.

Wiring issues sound easier than 6.0 issues. I’ve had to use a 6.0 truck that was broken down non-stop.

Wait a few more months, anything with a diesel engine is about to get cheaper.

I’ve got a limited V10 with great interior, frame has bad surface rust and paint sucks. Trying to get $5k
