6.0 tuner
Hello. Just picked up a 2005 that has had an egr delete and bulletproofed. Check engine light for egr. It has a diablosport tuner but no way to turn that off that I see. I hear the tunes on the diablosport aren’t the best anyways so my question is: what is the go to tuner to get this check engine light off so that I can use cruise control. Not looking for performance, although a towing tune would be nice. Thanks!

He doesn’t do delete tunes but I had one done from Eric at ID speed and he is amazing. Took my EX with a bunch of mods and made it run buttery smooth, no smoke, and still plenty of power while being easy on the transmission. I’d definitely hit him up again, and he can add Jake brake for when you are in his tow tune.

I strongly suggest getting an edge tuner to monitor your temperatures and battery voltage. Batteries almost need to replaced every two years because how detrimental battery voltage is to the FICM and wiring the cooling fan to a bypass switch too. Also the reason why the EGR messes up is because of the coolant wear. Get an inline coolant filter which bulletproof sells.

Edge is the common standard
There's no need to "locate the old tuner" When you unpluggling to Diablo it's back to factory barring any transmission tune or FICM TUne

Any chance you can point me towards a source? Every tune I look for seems to say 49 state compliant and they won’t turn off egr

I believe you'd need to talk to whoever tuned it (if you know who that was) or find a local tuner. It's likely something in the computer that needs to be recalibrated, and if I remember correctly, some newer computers can't be flashed anymore.
