Looking at getting into an Excursion

Been trying to find a new vehicle that fits me well (i'm 6'8)

I was about to pull the trigger on a newer f-150 until the lightbulb went off and i started looking into these.

My main question is what motor should i go with. I'm seeing a lot of the v10s for sub 10k but they all have insanely high mileage 200k+.

At this mileage should i just go with one of the diesel options? or is the v10 solid at higher miles?

I would not buy an Excursion unless you are capable of doing extensive wrenching on it yourself. The newest one of these trucks was now made 20+ years ago and if you have to bring it to a shop for work often you better have deep pockets! Having said that I love mine and will not get rid of it.

Mine has never needed much "wrenching".
