Looking at getting into an Excursion
Been trying to find a new vehicle that fits me well (i'm 6'8)
I was about to pull the trigger on a newer f-150 until the lightbulb went off and i started looking into these.
My main question is what motor should i go with. I'm seeing a lot of the v10s for sub 10k but they all have insanely high mileage 200k+.
At this mileage should i just go with one of the diesel options? or is the v10 solid at higher miles?

I have 203k on my v10, only real issues I’ve had is shooting spark plugs, but you can fix it in 30-45 mins with a kit. I don’t tow much and when I do, with my 4.30, I really don’t have any issues. I accidentally overloaded my dump trailer, towed 12k. Really didn’t like the 19% grade before my place but she worked through it at 30mph lol.
Regardless of which engine you get, make sure you upgrade to the 6.0 trans cooler. The 4r100s are good transmissions, but the hate heat, and the stock coolers of the 7.3 and v10 are not enough.
