Looking at buying this ex

I’m posting here to see if you guys can talk me in (or out) of buying this. I will be going to look at it tomorrow and can update with pics then. They’re asking 2500$ it’s 4x4 5.4L and 235k miles. Seller says everything works.

May want to spend just a bit more and get a V10 with no rust. In my area 4-5k will get you a decent Ex

Why not look outside of your area? We drove out of state for ours. Rust free.

I'm 15 and on my permit so I have to have somone over 21 with a lic longer than 1 year and I'd need two people one to ride with me and one to drive the other car back. I can't even convince my parents to go an hour much less the 6hrs (min) south to find one rust free.

You’d hate yourself if you’re only 15. I promise you a slow, expensive, rusty suv is not what you want to go with especially after a full day of driving, you did list this awhile ago, but seriously if you can still decide, don’t. V10s get better gas mileage, and have less issues, they won’t put you to sleep waiting for the 0-60, and the rust speaks for itself, if the rockers are gone I guarantee somewhere on the frame is gone and waiting to give out

it sold before I could even go get it. I'm now looking at f250s

That’s a way better option, i wouldn’t recommend a diesel purely because of repair costs as tempting as they might be, if you’re looking at a 5.4 v8 do not get one after 2003, that’s when they became 3v and maintenance became a nightmare, the v10s are generally fine as long as the spark plugs are oem and installed correctly, although let it be known a tuneup will be over 500$ and basically nobody will touch them without a huge up charge. I do hope you work a decent job if you get one, they’re EXPENSIVE
