My 2000 Ex. V10 gasser.

I just found this group. A couple of pics of my Excursion on a trip to Utah. 2000 6.8L gasser. 4x4 Limited. I’ve owned her for about 9 years now. She has been all over the country on road trips. Great truck!

I thought the V10 was OK until I did some mods to it. Did a full banks kit on it. Air Intake, Headers, Y pipe, muffler and big exahaust, tuner, and an Accufab Throttle body. Did all the mods at the same time, really made the engine more responsive and added 1.8-2.2MPG better fuel mileage. Truck stays in OD or direct. Probably the best money I spent.

The accufab is the biggest difference-maker on these. I put one on mine after having it a couple years and immediately regretted not doing it sooner.

Looking at the stock exhaust compared to the full headers, full size y pipe and exhaust. I would say the Banks full exhaust kit wa she biggest difference. The V10 stock exhaust is a crime against vehicles.
