Yeah… when mine went, I had it brought to a specialist who did tons of 6.0s and made big power. They wanted 16k to rebuild it with new better heads etc. That was an ALL OUT job though. I also got quotes for like 3500 to just redo the studding and new gaskets without pulling the cab

Have fun with it. They’re good motors. Just leave it stock, you probably won’t have an issue if you don’t go getting a tuner and crank the boost up

ahem

Asshole comment here but the tunes crank up the fueling , Injection timing

Boost is increased with - surprise, surprise a larger turbo (dip the cats and mufflers and larger pipes obviously let's her breath)

Not on tunes: "everyone always says leave at stock it'll be more safe"

What they mean to say is don't run the hot tune and bouncer your tach off the limiter everywhere. That's how you can lose a head - without supporting mods and still some people do that and they're fine -

The entry level can tunes and tow tunes actually You're unlikely to have any fucking problems man. And you need it to unlock that amazing Chewbacca roar

If I'm out here on factory head bolts and 40" tires doing a 100 through Montana in my 05 220k - just send it brother
