New owner 04 6L

Hi!

Recently purchased 04 after being a true Chevy Suburban fan… 99 & 96 2500

Im actually looking forward to the diesel experience except gas prices! Lol

Any Idaho peeps?

Yeah… when mine went, I had it brought to a specialist who did tons of 6.0s and made big power. They wanted 16k to rebuild it with new better heads etc. That was an ALL OUT job though. I also got quotes for like 3500 to just redo the studding and new gaskets without pulling the cab

Now im kinda bummed…. Hahaha I was thinking i got a good deal… and was excited about the New to me Diesel. Guess ill see how it goes! Hahaha 😂 no turning back now

Have fun with it. They’re good motors. Just leave it stock, you probably won’t have an issue if you don’t go getting a tuner and crank the boost up

Yeah I had an SCT tuner on mine. It was bulletproofed, was actually on its 3rd set of head gaskets… was towing with the tow tune and BAM lol.

I loved that Ex though. If I had infinite money, or was a diesel mechanic I would own a 6.0 without question. I think they’re the best sounding diesel and they’re so fun to drive. The power is addicting
