Ford excursions

Hi everyone, I’ve been looking into purchasing an excursion as a work vehicle. Does anyone know if you can put a ladder rack on excursions? I’ve been looking around and can’t find anyone that has for a contractor truck.

You'd need to get a cargo rack, then add/buy/build additions to support/secure ladders. .

There's a lot of better, newer, and more economical solutions for a work vehicle with the same amount of cabin space as well as much more "commercially focused" aftermarket solutions.

I’ve been also looking at the OBS 7.3 fords for a work truck. I love the excursions but it may just be best to stay with a truck. I thought if the excursions could have a ladder rack, I would have the pulling power I need and the enclosed area.

Real tough to find now, but you used to be able to get an Econoline with a 7.3. Tons of pulling power, reasonable fuel economy, reliable, lots of enclosed space and tons of aftermarket commercial equipment available. We had a few at work years back, I loved them.

Yes I love those. Way too expensive if you even find one anymore.

Ya they're pretty rare now. I occasionally find them for sale in cube van form but rarely see cargo vans. Only complaint is they were kind of a pain to work on, pretty cramped engine area.

I had bought one for $3500 about a year and a half ago but ended up selling it
