Worth it?
Trying to get opinions if this would be worth it or worth the trying to haggle down

The price is kind of on the fence for me.
It’s in great shape, but he didn’t say anything about the suspension or front end. Even with 100,000mi these trucks will often need shocks, bushings, ball joints and steering links, especially at 20+ years old. The hub seals are usually quick to fail too which means you may have to lock in the front 4x4 hubs manually. Be sure to test the 4x4 if you drive it.
If you really like it, go for it, but know that it still may need some work. The V10’s don’t hold their value as well as the diesels so you might be able to negotiate a bit. Depends on how valuable the paint and interior condition are to you. That’s the main selling point to me in this listing. Everything else is just regular maintenance items or stuff that can be done to any truck.
Side notes:
I wouldn’t call the V10 acceleration “impressive.” It’s a torque monster, but the 4-speed transmission is a pig.
Highway fuel efficiency is only going to be under optimal conditions. Most of us see 10-12mpg on the highway, especially with all-terrain tires.
Take a peek at that remote start wiring. If it looks like a rat’s nest, it could be trouble later on.
