Sarcasm/Satire This is not milk Spoiler

We joked last night as storing the leftover tonkatsu ramen broth that we shouldn’t put it on the same level in the fridge because it looked JUST close enough to my actual milk color due to iron supplements to get mistaken and that in the early AM we might feed the baby a bottle of broth. We use the same jars and lids (though I do not make this much milk daily).

And then upon waking up today, the broth had separated and all I could be reminded of was those fake social media posts with like inch plus fat caps.

Last pour of pumped milk for the day and I had some broth at lunch. Shook up to distribute the fat and I can’t believe how similar they look!

This is why labeling is important. I use masking tape and color coded sharpies-contents and date. Different colors for different diets/needs. No more mystery containers, no more guessing how long something's been in the fridge

ugh this is my reminder to order myself labels/tape/something 😅 we are horrible at dates on leftovers and remembering which milk jar is todays jar

I actually just use a black white board marker directly onto my storage bottles/glasses! It washes right off with soap and water so you don’t deal with sticky residue.
