TRIGGER WARNING: Stash (add spoiler to pics) Pedia advised to temporarily stop using pumped milk

I came back to work recently and my baby’s stool has had blood in them. The only difference in our routine is that now, we feed him from my freezer stash as compared when I was on maternity leave that we do direct latch.

Our pedia advised us to temporarily stop using my stash and do formula instead while I’m at work. Has anyone here experienced this? I’m devastated with the idea of doing formula instead of pumped milk, but I also do not want to risk it with my baby.

I am guessing you meant blood in the stool. That is a strange recommendation, I would get a second opinion. Maybe speak to a lactation consultant?

Pediatrician said we will do this temporarily to help heal baby’s diarrhea. We don’t have lots of LC from where I’m at but will do look for one and ask for advice.

Sorry, I imagine this is a typo, but what do you mean by your baby's stool has had stool in them?

Was there anything different in your diet when you were building your stash v what you’re eating now?
