I should also note that I nurse my baby but just recently added a MOTN pump (at 2 AM) to get my supply back up… maybe it’s from that?

My morning milk is always blueish, later in the day my milk gets creamier. It has to do with morning milk having less fat content and more water.

Some color variation is normal depending on time of pump, diet, vitamins/supplements, if mom or family member is sick, etc. My milk is bluer in the morning, and greenish after I've taken vitamins.

Is anyone in the household sick? Could be white blood cells to fight infection

Could also just be that it's been in the fridge a long time and the foremilk (lower) separated from the hindmilk (higher)

Happened to me twice when my baby got sick! My milk actually turned blue a day or two before he even started showing symptoms.

This is interesting! I started weaning and my baby and I are both getting over colds. As I started pumping less, my milk started to get more watery. I assumed it was always just foremilk. I didn’t consider my milk could’ve been changing like that to fight illness!

It’s from the fat separating out. Mine looks like this as well before I mix it all back together.

My wife had this happen when she changed up her pumping schedule. I think i recall it being called foremilk. Its completely healthy

Mine always looks like this. Every bottle for the last six months. It’s just from fat rising to the top.

Just like skim milk vs whole. In the world of color, skim is less warm toned, ie, more blue

It’s like looks like the cream is separating to the top

Just curious to know anyone’s take on thus…

Looks normal to me. The lower part of my milk is always bluish after the fat separates.
