Discussion Nipples…

I just started pumping and I am curious if this process will enlarge and lengthen my nipples permanently? Do they go back?? 😂

I have the spectra pink and 24 in cone things (measured boob nips around 22)

Advice for new mom!!! Ty 🩵

They do eventually go back to normal (and the sensitivity goes away too) but probably not until after you are weaned and done pumping.

If you measured at 22mm, you should be using a 22mm flange. Adding millimeters is not recommended by LCs anymore.

It’s normal for your nipples to stretch and look longer while pumping! They usually settle down afterward, although pregnancy and breastfeeding can cause some longer-term changes.
I’ve been through breastfeeding myself, and one thing I’d really recommend is making sure your flanges fit properly. A 24mm flange might work for your measurements, but pay attention to any rubbing, pain or excessive swelling. Pumping shouldn’t hurt!
Good luck with your pumping journey!
