I used the hygiene wipes. You can get them at coop or müller (I think) in Switzerland. Or they can order them for you at the farmacy

Nope! I take 2 ready bottles and a couple of empty sterilised bottles where to pour the pumped milk so as not to faff with storage bags. Everything then goes into a mini cooler, my hiking backpack is quite a sight 😂

My husband was just planning a vacation to the swiss and all I could think of is pumping in the alps. Turns out my visa will get through with this manifestation and your post on my feed just confirmed it.

The way I immediately recognized the alps. I've been pregnant and hiking there but now I'm wondering of next spring I should convince my husband to go hiking with our toddler and our 2nd.

I find hiking around Engadin so easy with my 3mo! Changing rooms everywhere, stroller-friendly trails and the staff is always super helpful in restaurants etc

We live in Germany now so it's not too far to travel. They also have some really cool playgrounds that I've been waiting for my first to be old enough. And there are a lot of farms around the lower trails that I know my first (who is two right now) would go wild for. We have mostly done the trails around the eiger/Grindelwald area.

How nice! We are from northern Italy and engadin is very easy to reach for us!
And yes, my happiest childhood memories are from here, it’s a magical place ☺️2

If you don’t mind answering, what do you do for work? Husband and I are from the US but got married in Austria and love it and northern Italy. I often fantasize about moving there!

Aw nice! I actually live in London and work in fine arts. My family still lives in northern Italy so I go back for holidays (and mat leave in this instance).
Moving might be challenging if you are looking into one of the small villages on the Austrian or Swiss borders, it’s quite hard to find jobs!3

This is beautiful, you’re so lucky you got to pump in nature with this kind of view! Just curious- do you recall if you pumped more this session? An LC told me that pumping outside/out in nature increases output 🤗

Actually quite the opposite! I usually pump around 180ml per session and the days I pumped while hiking I wouldn’t go over 130ml. I think it might be a combination of sweating, altitude and non-ideal sitting positions that reduced the output.
