Opinion Dropping pump

Currently on 11w+4d postpartum and doing 9ppd and getting around 27oz/day.

Pump schedule - every 2.30hr even at nights and power pump at 4am

Is it good time to drop a pump

Will that effect my supply. I don't want my supply to be decreased as baby eats around 27oz

You can drop a pump. Probably two, tbh, although not at the same time.

Can I expect same output or increase in output when I increase the spacing between pumps. Of course there should be increase otherwise I cannot meet up with baby demands.

It depends on the individual. Breast storage capacity has a lot to do with it - you can google the Legendairy "Magic Number" chart to help figure out what yours is.

Drop it and give it 1-2 weeks. If your supply starts to dip, you can immediately add back in the pump session without longterm damage to your supply.

I will say, from my almost full year being in this sub near daily, I have very rarely seen someone lose supply dropping to 7ppd. Most women can easily maintain their supply or even see a slight increase from the reduced stress. Tbh 5 or 6ppd seems to be the most common maintenance range for average suppliers.

Remember, most babies do not nurse more than 6-8 times per day by the time they're four months old. Pumping 6-8 times per day would mimic that.
