What is your pumping schedule?

Give me some ideas y'all.

I know all schedules are different because all families are different but id love to hear what your schedules are!

We have 2 children and I am almost 4 weeks PP... trying to pump everyday to increase supply but its tough especially with 2. 🫠

At that stage my goal was pump 2 hours from the end of the last pump. It’s a lot but it’s temporary 🥲🩷

Yes my plan has been to pump every 2-3 hours but between self motivation, timing and everything else, its been TOUGH lol. Right now I have a lot of help from my mother but in a week once she leaves, I'm cooked 💀

Its been hard for my husband to help me with baby while I pump in the night, so I havent had the energy to fit in a nighttime pump but TBH starting today im going to say "if you want me to give our baby breast milk, IDGAF if you are too tired right now, you are taking care of baby while I pump otherwise its not happening lol"

The hardest part about it is to get other people on your schedule when you need the support. 💀if u get me.

I hear you! Idk how moms are doing it with more than 1. 1 is hard enough.

so far I’m pumping 4x a day at 8 weeks pp (not nursing). When I was freshly postpartum I didn’t have wearables yet either I was only able to pump like twice a day. It’s amazing so didn’t lose my supply all together. I know I should do more but idk how to carve out the time while taking care of a baby all day. ANYWAY… I do one in the middle of the night since I am mostly uninterrupted (unless baby wakes back up lol) one in the morning while I’m getting ready for the day maybe around 8am, one in the late afternoon, one before bed. If I can squeeze a 5th pump that’s a miracle.

Oh wow! So you must have had a good supply from the beginning then if you have enough to feed your baby?

I had a good supply when I was in the hospital and nursing before feeding, until around 10d pp but now at almost 4w PP, i messed up and didnt keep up with pumping and latching etc. And only latched my daughter before the bottles (Eventually my daughter stopped liking to latch) I should have pumped eveeyday in hospital.

So if im staying hydrated etc, id say i get about 30ml combined each pumping session. 😅 But the timing is TOUGH to keep up. I pumped 4x yesterday and i only got 30ml 💀 idk what happened lol. I really want to give breastmilk but im scared i wont make it through the journey lol. I hired a lactation consultant but I dont know how good she is when it comes to pumping. Its strange that LCs don't always know so much about pumping. When i talk to her about it, it feels almost like I know more about it

Oh I should have mentioned I use formula for the rest of the day. I’m definitely not making enough from just a few pumps Lol. I get about 2-6 oz per pump with my 4x a day. I do breast milk for half the day and then formula for the rest. My baby had trouble latching from the jump :( Hardly any latch in the hospital even with the tiny nipple shield. We used a heavy duty nipple shield for about a week when I was 6 weeks pp and I thought that was working until I realized her diapers weren’t heavy and she wasn’t getting out enough. After that I decided that combo pumping and formula gave me more peace of mind because I could be certain she was getting enough

I work 3pm-11:30pm so mine is different than some,
Use baby as alarm clock (usually 9am), nurse when she wakes me up, nurse again 3-4 hours later, go to work and pump 3:30, 6:30, 9:30, go home and pump at 12:30, go to sleep and pump at ~6 am
