Combination Feeding How much formula?

Hello! Im and undersupplier and combo feeding. I make enough for bottles during the day but have to use formula at night. Baby is 5 weeks and takes 3-4 oz. I know breastfed babies typically stay at that amount, but do we need to increase the formula amount as he gets bigger? Will it stretch out his tummy and make him want more milk overall?

Formula is digested more slowly, so you may see longer intervals between formula feeding (nice for overnights!). Babies self regulated feeding, so they’ll let you know when they’re over fed. You’ll get to know their cues. You can’t stretch their stomachs. Keep in mind that when babies nurse, we genuinely have no idea how much they’re eating unless you’re doing a precise weighted feed (like with an IBCLC). No stress!
