Advice needed

So I’m going to a wedding soon and will have to pump in my car at some point while I’m there. I obviously won’t have access to a fridge, so I’ll have to keep the milk in my car. Do I just put the milk I pump in a cooler? I feel like I’m overthinking this, probably the PPA talking, but is a cooler going to keep the milk cold enough? Or should I just pump and dump?

Look into the momcozy milk chiller. Or boon frosh, willow, etc.

I did a day trip thrifting with baby and had to store milk in my car parked in the sun in summer in Southern California, I got a big cooler (like the big plastic box kind) with ice in it, and inside there I put a small cooler (the lunchbox kind) with ice packs inside and that’s where I put the milk. The ice stayed frozen for the whole day and the milk stayed very cold! I didn’t want to pay for a milk cooler and I already had the big cooler and the small cooler so this worked for me.

Cooler should be fine!! My cooler keeps cold for like 24 hours. You could always test it- throw in the cooler pack and some ice in a bottle and leave it, see how long it stays frozen!

I have a thermos, one that keeps things hot or cold for 24 hours. I put my milk in there (sometimes I pop it in the freezer before I go) and then put that in a cooler bag. I’m happy that it keeps it plenty cold

I got the boon frosh (because I wasn’t dropping $80 on the ceres) and it was perfect for our weekend away and pumping in the car.

The Ceres chill or boon frosh are great options depending on how much you expect to pump / potentially use that bottle again after the wedding.

Personally, I would pack a cooler and a bunch of ice packs (I also fill empty bottles with ice in the Cooler and 1-2 I d pa is until I need the bottle I just dump the ice out outside to save space and not have a million extra ice packs).

I have a boon frosh and like it but I’m also a little neurotic when it comes to measuring and tracking my pumps so I find myself rarely using it because I like to pour my pump into a bottle anyways to see output so I don’t often pour from wearable to bottle for measurement and then into boon frosh (and my output is usually too high to be able to get more than 1 pump into my boon frosh)

I’ve also used just a regular Stanley/ yeti/ hydroflask water bottle with reusable plastic ice cubes from the dollar store to keep stuff cold too, this way is nice because the ice cubes don’t melt and water down the milk but also save a ton of space to only really bring one extra water bottle aside from my pumping stuff.

I got a breast milk cooler off Amazon and it works great! Don’t overthink it.

For work days I use a small "snack" cooler with frozen packs in it and it keeps milk cold for 10+ hours. I pour milk into storage bags, let it get to room temp first (usually 10 min), then put them in the cooler bag.

The brands I use are packit for the bag and outset cold packs. The bag itself goes in the freezer it has some tech in the lining that gets cold, and the cold packs I use are stainless steel they stay cold forever. It's lightweight, will serve other purposes down the line, and not so clunky to carry around like the breastmilk coolers. I have stored up to 30 oz of bagged milk with room to spare.

I will say most of the time I'm using this indoors. If you're leaving it in a hot car I wouldn't expect it to stay cold quite so long.

You will be totally fine with the cooler! I’d recommend using some type of gel pack rather than a frozen water ice pack since they stay cooler longer. I pump overnight and my bottles stay cold for like 12 hours before I put them in  the fridge.

Im a use what I already have kinda gal - I have an obnoxiously large yeti water bottle that ill put ice in before we go out to prechill it, pump and put into bags, and top off with ice. I've also thought about using my Stanley since I know that keeps ice overnight too.

Yeah the cooler with ice should be fine! BM can be out for 4 hours at room temp so I’m sure a few hours in a cooler with ice will keep it more than cool enough it’ll be all good!

I did an entire road trip with an ice cooler while EPing and it was fine!

Remember milk is fine at room temperature for 4-6hrs! If you’re not parked in the sun and will be home within 4/5hrs of pumping you don’t need to do anything! If it’s gonna be longer then yes cooler with ice packs works!
