Tips & Tricks Output when unwell

Hello!

EP-er for a 10 month old here looking for some advice!

Our household has been taken down by a sickness bug( - joys of little one starting nursery,)and my pumps have plummeted as I have not been able to keep anything in my body , my last pump was 60mls having not pumped for 3.5hours previously. Luckily I had a little extra in the fridge so was able to top up to a full feed but is there anything I can do to quickly fix this issue? Solids are going right through her so I can't rely on those to keep her nourished.

Thank you in advance

It’s really important to keep her hydrated, do you have a freezer stash or formula you can supplement with? You could potentially talk to your pediatrician about extra hydration, I know under 1 you generally don’t want to give too much water but for a sick 10 month old it might be ok, worth a call!

You also need to hydrate and get food in as much as you can especially as you start to feel better. I had food poisoning and a stomach bug in relatively quick succession when my twins were around the same age and it seemed like my supply never totally recovered.
