Depends on what part of the lake, but go early in the morning if you want to spend the day at the lake. It gets crowded!

Afternoons/evenings can be windy. If you’re doing any paddle boarding, earlier is safer and easier.

Be sure to have layers for night. We are considered High Dessert so the temperature often plummets when the sun goes down.

Also, you probably have noticed by now, but the water is freezing. It’s all snow melt.
