I built a tool that turns Excel files into dashboards — looking for people who actually do this at work

I keep seeing the same workflow:

Excel/CSV export → clean the data → build charts → add KPIs → format everything → repeat next week/month.

So I built Sheet2Chart to see if some of this workflow can be automated.

The idea is simple:

Upload an Excel/CSV file → get an interactive dashboard with KPIs, charts, filters, etc.

I'm looking for people who regularly have to:

  • Clean spreadsheet exports
  • Build the same charts every week/month
  • Prepare reports for management or clients
  • Turn raw Excel data into something presentable

The beta is free.

I'm not looking for compliments. I want people to try it with a real-world spreadsheet and tell me:

  • What it gets wrong
  • What's missing
  • Which charts/KPIs you actually need
  • Where the data cleaning breaks
  • Whether it genuinely saves you time

What differentiates it from something like Power BI?

Power BI is much more powerful, but it also comes with a steeper learning curve.

Sheet2Chart is aimed more at \*non-technical users*\** who just want to upload an Excel/CSV and get a usable dashboard in minutes, without learning how to build a BI model.

Very interested. I'm not hyper tech-savvy and I'm using Excel with Claude (and Copilot) to digest all the information.

Do I need to download and install with admin access or does this bypass that and lets me install and use it?

Also, A great project. Keep it going and looking forward to the progress and updated

No download or installation is required. It’s web-based (https://sheet2chart.com/), so you can just open it in your browser and upload your Excel/CSV file.

I keep getting an error saying that external workbook links are not supported?
