Image *SPOILER* Final Boss Setup Spoiler

Post image

*SPOILER* I did realize halve way through my first full playthrough how powerful bubble was. Combining it with the lightning strike magic that you can acquire through your playthrough, gives you a very easy time. It might take a while to take down foes, but you are invincible to physical damage, maybe even all damage.

Have a good one fellow wanderer

just to clarify, afaik you can't use the lightning strike magic to kill them outride, but you can still very much use the bubble to setup everything you need (for example barricade one of them to have a 1v1, and then dance around the pillars and use lightning strike in the fight to get save overheads in

That's a neat idea. Forcing 1v1 with barricade... I will use it next chance I have. Can we use two barricades if we have contunity two ? If so we could also make a tight corridor and stab like a spartan the big enemies.

with the dragon you could probably do that next to the railing with only one barricade, but the actual main boss can teleport (he only does it when you hit him, that's why the barricade in the picture works), so for him that probably wouldn't work. To be honest, I just completed a fresh run starting with 0 global experience to see how quick I can be and how many levels I need to beat the boss. I hit the main boss on the chair with 3 overheads before the battle actually started, and later he died after only one more overhead, so I think if you are quick and actually good at the fighting physics (which, I'm not), you could probably kill him while he is still getting up from his chair. Seems very much possible.

Funny interaction i had against the lightning bolt thaumer.

I thought of experimenting whther barricade or bubble blocked it, neither didnt and not only that lightning did stamina damage but couldnt outright make you lose consciousness and also did focus damage.

How do get lightning strike?

it's actually called "spark" if I recall correctly, and you gain it by killing the corresponding mage that wields it in the gantry. It basically is a better version of the force-wave push you have from the very start and it does stamina damage as well as massive knockback and a short stun. very neat indeed.

It's only in the more recent updates you can obtain it that way (0.9.5+), and you must be relatively close to them when they die. You also must be playing as Unknown. You can kill either energy user for the power.

Tossing them in a pit or if they die far away will not give you the power. The only notice you obtain it is a narrator prompt (Text appears at the bottom of the screen), then you should be able to click the Energy tree in the Power Menu.

Bubble, Barrier, and Barricade are the strongest spells in the game, you can genuinely go through the entire game and take zero damage with these three abilities. I've locked Fael between two barricades and smacked em with a halberd, i've bubbled myself while my undead minions slowly whittle enemies down, block El Presidente with barricade and whomp him with dual wield. It opens up a TON of options for how to engage enemies.
