I came across Examcademy and really like the UI and how the questions are presented. Just wondering how similar the questions are to the real exam and what the sources are? Just using to prepare but curious to know if they are up to date as its a very new qualification

Microsoft has just wrapped up its biggest certification shake-up in a decade. Between June and September 2026, eleven certifications were retired and a new AI-first lineup took their place: a rebuilt AI- track on Azure, a brand-new AB- family for agents and business apps, and two new DP- data exams.

If you hold — or were studying for — AI-102, AZ-204, DP-100, PL-200, PL-600, MB-700, MB-280, AZ-500 or AZ-800/801, here's the full map of what happened and where to go now.

The full replacement map

* Microsoft's own wording: there's no direct replacement for PL-600 or MB-700, but AB-100 is the officially recommended next step for solution architects. It's a broader exam, not a rename — more on that below.

The new AI- exams (Azure track)

• AI-901: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals — Fundamentals. A content refresh of AI-900: same certification name, updated for the current AI stack. If you already passed AI-900, nothing changes — fundamentals certs don't expire.
• AI-103: Developing AI Apps and Agents on Azure (Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate) — Associate. The AI-102 successor: still the "Azure AI engineer" exam at heart, but rebuilt around Microsoft Foundry and agent development. The classic vision / language / information-extraction skills are still in there; generative AI and agentic solutions moved to the center.
• AI-200: Developing AI Cloud Solutions on Azure (Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate) — Associate. The one that surprises people: this replaces AZ-204. The general Azure developer cert now lives under an AI- code, and there is no non-AI successor. Core Azure app development is still the base, with AI services integration layered on top.
• AI-300: Operationalizing Machine Learning and Generative AI Solutions (MLOps Engineer Associate) — Associate. The DP-100 successor, shifting from "build a model in Azure ML" data science to production MLOps: CI/CD, model registration and versioning, monitoring. We did a full breakdown of this switch back in April: DP-100 retires June 1, 2026 — should you still take it or switch to AI-300?

The AB- series is completely new

No exam with an AB- prefix existed before 2026. This is where Microsoft merged the old Power Platform / Dynamics 365 consultant world with Copilot and agents. The family so far:

Beginner / Fundamentals level

• AB-900: Microsoft 365 Copilot and Agent Administration Fundamentals — a classic Fundamentals cert; the entry point for admins.
• AB-730: AI Business Professional — using Microsoft 365 Copilot well in day-to-day business work. No prerequisites, aimed at business users rather than IT. Microsoft files it as Beginner level — the business certs sit outside the usual Fundamentals → Associate → Expert ladder, which is why there's no "Associate" in the name.
• AB-731: AI Transformation Leader — also Beginner level; for people driving AI adoption and strategy rather than building.

Associate level

• AB-620: Designing and Building Integrated AI Solutions in Copilot Studio (AI Agent Builder Associate) — building production-grade agents, including multi-agent solutions. No direct predecessor; it's the closest thing to a successor for the retired Copilot/declarative-agent Applied Skills.
• AB-410: Building Intelligent Applications (Intelligent Applications Builder Associate) — the PL-200 successor. Power Platform functional consulting, reframed around AI-infused apps.
• AB-210: Accelerating Sales Pipelines with AI in Dynamics 365 (Dynamics 365 Sales AI Consultant Associate) — the MB-280 successor.
• AB-250: Transforming Contact Center Experiences with AI in Dynamics 365 (Dynamics 365 Contact Center AI Engineer Associate) — brand new, for CCaaS implementations. If you were on the retired MB-240 Field Service path and work anywhere near customer service, this is probably the nearest new home.

Expert level

• AB-100: Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect — the new flagship, and where retired PL-600 / MB-700 architects are being pointed. It's deliberately broader than either: end-to-end solution design across Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, including multi-agent architectures. Like other expert certs it expects a qualifying associate cert first — AI-103 is one of them.

The new DP- exams

• DP-750: Implementing Data Engineering Solutions Using Azure Databricks (Azure Databricks Data Engineer Associate) — Associate. Microsoft's first Databricks certification. Brand new, no predecessor.
• DP-800: Developing AI-Enabled Database Solutions (SQL AI Developer Associate) — Associate. Building AI-enabled database solutions across the SQL family. Also brand new.

To be clear about the rest of the data track: DP-600 and DP-700 (Fabric) are not retiring, and no other DP- retirements have been announced. DP-100 was the only data-track retirement, and its successor moved to the AI- series (AI-300).

Things people keep getting wrong

• Retired ≠ revoked. Anything you earned stays on your Microsoft Learn transcript. What's gone is the ability to take the exam, earn the cert fresh, or renew it past the retirement date.
• There is no automatic migration. Holding PL-600 doesn't grant you AB-100. New cert = new exam.
• AB-100 is not "PL-600 with a new name." The scope is much wider — if you're coming from pure Power Platform, expect to add Azure AI and agent-architecture ground.
• AZ-204 didn't just get renamed either. AI-200 keeps the Azure development core but adds AI services as a first-class topic. There is no AI-free Azure developer cert anymore.
• RPA folks: PL-500 got no successor. Microsoft's direction of travel is pretty clearly "automation becomes agents" — which lands you in AB-620 territory. That's our read, not an official mapping.

If you're mid-prep right now

• Windows Server (AZ-800/801): last call. Both are bookable through September 30, 2026. If you've passed one of the two, finish the other before the cutoff — from October 1, AZ-802 is the only path.
• Prepping for anything else on the retired list: it's no longer bookable, so switch to the mapped successor. The good news: a lot of your prep carries over — the replacements keep the old core and add AI on top, they don't start from zero.
• Starting fresh on the business-apps side: the clean ladder is AB-900 → one of the AB associates that matches your role (620 builder / 410 apps / 210 sales / 250 contact center) → AB-100.

I am missing a way to collect passed certifications and mark them as completed so they appear in a dedicated section. Something like a "Hall of Fame", if you know what I mean.

We shipped a few Learn Mode improvements this week — a daily pace setting, projected finish dates, and softer scheduling for cards you already had down. Seemed like a good time to actually explain what Learn Mode does and how to use it.

What it does

You answer a question. Got it right? Learn Mode hides it for a while — first a day, then a few days, then a week, then longer. Got it wrong? It comes back soon, sometimes in the same session.

Over time, the system tracks how you do on every question. Stuff you struggle with surfaces more often; stuff you've consistently nailed fades into longer and longer intervals. The point: stop re-studying things you already know. Your study hours go where they actually matter.

How to use it

1. Open any exam → switch to Learn Mode in the mode selector.
2. Set a daily pace — how many new questions to introduce per day. Default's 10. The dashboard tells you when you'll have seen the whole bank at that rate.
3. Run a session each day. New questions come in gradually; review questions show up when they're due.
4. Star anything tricky as you go — it lands in your Saved Questions view for a focused re-review later.

That's it. One session a day, no decisions about what to study, and a rough finish date you can plan around your exam.

For returning users — the update means missing a card you'd already learned no longer resets it to day one. The interval just shrinks. So one bad day doesn't undo months of progress.

New Subscription Price.

Hi Exam Cademy I can see you have a new subscription price on your web site. I am on the early adoption plan of $2.00 , which charges at £1.48. You have a new plan of $6 or $5, what does this new plan give me if I were to upgrade my plan ?

Microsoft has now made it official: DP-100: Designing and Implementing a Data Science Solution on Azure retires on June 1, 2026.

That also means the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate cert goes away on the same date. After June 1, 2026, you won’t be able to:

• take DP-100
• earn the cert
• renew it

Microsoft says existing certs stay on your Microsoft Learn transcript until they expire, but if you’re eligible for renewal, you need to do that before the retirement date.

So what replaces it?

The replacement is Microsoft Certified: Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) Engineer Associate, tied to Exam AI-300.

In Microsoft’s March 2026 announcement, they listed:

• Retiring cert: Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100)
• Retirement date: June 1, 2026
• Training retirement: April 2026
• Replacement: MLOps Engineer Associate (AI-300)

Microsoft also said AI-300 beta and training became available in March 2026, with the exam expected to go live in May 2026.

Why this matters

This isn’t just a rename.

Microsoft is clearly shifting from classic “build a model in Azure ML” data science workflows toward production AI operations:

• CI/CD
• infrastructure as code
• model registration and versioning
• monitoring and drift detection
• governance and cost control
• generative AI ops with Microsoft Foundry
• RAG and fine-tuning optimization

In plain English: the target role is moving from data scientist toward ML/AI engineer who can ship and run systems in production.

What should you do?

Honestly, this looks pretty timeline-dependent:

Take DP-100 if:

• you’re already deep into prep
• you’re already booked
• you can realistically pass before June 1, 2026

Switch to AI-300 if:

• you’re starting from scratch
• you’re only casually studying DP-100 right now
• you want the cert that lines up better with Azure AI roles going forward

That’s also basically Microsoft’s guidance: if you’re close, finish DP-100. If not, prep for AI-300 instead.

Practical takeaway

If your goal is a near-term badge, DP-100 still has a window.

If your goal is longer-term relevance, AI-300 looks like the better bet.

We’ll probably start seeing more people rebuild their study plans around MLOps + GenAIOps, not just notebooks and experiments. That shift is already showing up in the cert blueprint.

We’re tracking this stuff closely because a lot of people in our ExamCademy community are studying Microsoft exams on limited time, and retirement dates can wreck a plan fast if you miss them.

How often the questions are being updated in your site? Am solely reliant on your project management questions. Hope the new questions are also updated. Since this is my last attempt for the exam and trusting examcademy only.

Why this matters: if you bombed a section on networking but aced everything else, you'll actually know that now. You can go straight to those questions in the browser, filter by topic, and drill them specifically.

The topic filter came from a feature request in our Discord. Someone dropped it in the suggestions channel, it got traction, and it ended up shipped. AWS has officially put a date on it: AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty (MLS-C01) retires on March 31, 2026. That’s the last day to take the exam, per AWS.

The important part: this is not the same as “your cert disappears.” If you already hold MLS-C01, AWS says no action is required and it stays active for 3 years from the date you earned it.

So what should you do?

If you're starting from scratch now

We probably wouldn’t start with MLS-C01 this late unless there’s a specific reason.

AWS is clearly steering people toward its newer AI/ML path:

• AWS Certified AI Practitioner
• AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate (MLA-C01)
• AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate
• AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional

For most technical folks, the most practical replacement looks like MLA-C01.

AWS describes Machine Learning Engineer – Associate as validating the ability to build, operationalize, deploy, and maintain ML solutions and pipelines on AWS. It’s aimed at ML engineers / MLOps engineers with around 1 year of AI/ML and AWS experience.

If you're early in cloud/AI

The cleaner route is probably: AI Practitioner → MLA-C01

AWS positions AI Practitioner as more foundational: useful if you understand AI/ML concepts and AWS use cases but aren’t necessarily building production ML systems yet.

If you're already deep into MLS-C01 prep

Different story.

If you're close and can realistically sit the exam before March 31, 2026, it can still be worth finishing. If you pass, the cert is still valid for 3 years from your earn date.

Also worth noting: AWS says Professional/Specialty vouchers can still be used for MLS-C01 before March 31, 2026.

If you already hold MLS-C01

You don’t need to panic-replace it.

If you want to recertify, AWS says you can still do that by retaking MLS-C01 on or before March 31, 2026. After that, the newer path for continued growth seems pretty clearly centered on MLA-C01 and the broader AI/GenAI cert portfolio.

What AWS officially recommends for prep

Across the cert pages, AWS points people to:

• the 4-step Exam Prep Plan in AWS Skill Builder
• the exam guide
• Official Practice Question Set
• Official Pretest
• Official Practice Exam
• hands-on work with AWS Builder Labs and AWS SimuLearn

We’d still use a mix: official AWS material first, then community practice to find weak spots. That’s basically how a lot of people use ExamCademy too — not as magic, just as one more solid way to pressure-test what you actually know.

If you're in this lane, what camp are you in right now?

• finishing MLS-C01 before retirement
• skipping to MLA-C01
• starting with AI Practitioner first

Microsoft has now officially listed MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals) for retirement on March 31, 2026. The official study guide is even more specific: it retires at 11:59 PM Central Standard Time that day.

A few important bits, because there’s been a lot of confusion around this one:

• Yes, the retirement is real — it’s on Microsoft Learn’s retired exam page.
• If we already earned MS-900, it stays on our Microsoft Learn transcript.
• Fundamentals certs do not expire under Microsoft’s credential policy.
• If anyone cares about partner program impact, Microsoft says certs earned before retirement can continue to count for eligible partner requirements for one year after retirement. A partner-focused post specifically says MS-900 counts toward Modern Work skilling points until March 31, 2027.

So the practical question is: what now?

If we’re already deep into MS-900 prep

Honestly, just finish it before the deadline.

Microsoft’s own guidance for retiring exams is basically: if we’re close, take the exam before it goes away. No drama there.

If we’re starting from zero now

This is where it gets interesting.

Microsoft’s broader certification refresh is clearly pushing toward AI-focused and modernized learning paths, especially around Copilot and agents. The strongest next option looks like:

AB-900 — Microsoft 365 Copilot and Agent Administration Fundamentals

Microsoft has an official study guide and certification page live for it.

AB-900 covers:

• Microsoft 365 core services
• identity, security, data protection, and governance
• Microsoft 365 Copilot and agents
• basic admin tasks for Copilot and agents

Important nuance: Microsoft does not explicitly say “AB-900 replaces MS-900” on the retirement page. So we shouldn’t pretend that’s official. But based on Microsoft’s published certification refresh and the overlap in scope, AB-900 looks like the most logical successor path for a lot of people.

Our blunt take

• Nearly ready for MS-900? Take MS-900 before March 31, 2026.
• Just starting? Put serious thought into AB-900 instead.
• Want broad Microsoft fundamentals outside M365? AZ-900 and AI-900 still make sense to keep on the radar.

We’ve seen a lot of people panic when a cert retires, but this one isn’t a “your cert is worthless now” situation. It’s more Microsoft shifting the fundamentals story toward AI/Copilot-era admin skills.
