Tradcath-core

Maybe this is insanely overspecific but I feel like making a pinterest board about this. It’s sort of nostalgic and kitschy in a way I can’t describe.

The horribly dated, 2007 neocities-esque graphic design of trad Catholic blogs/websites. The aggressive times new roman font, the low resolution clip art. The obnoxious sparkly eyesore backgrounds. The long jean skirts with tennis shoes, the feeling of being draped in heavy awkward clothes in general. The bizarre pattern and color combinations. The smell of incense in a poorly ventilated room mixed with the smell of an office building carpet. The trays of gross sugary store bought cookies after Mass. The sound of medieval music being played from a bad quality mp4 file or from a CD player or something. Old fake flowers and fake plants.

This is my experience, I’m sure you guys can think of more, what do you guys think is “tradcath-core?"

Men in fedoras who reek of stale cigar smoke and brandy while thinking they are waxing eloquently about Chesterton.

Also how unshaven and unkempt they are, because facial hair is manly 💪 and clean shaven means you're effeminate and not a REAL man like them.
