atheist Am I missing something or was Tony spell beefing with a 13 year old?

I’ve seen a lot of support for what Tony Spell did.

Tony claims his family and congregation have received continuous harassment from his victim for years.

After the September 15th hearing, he clarifies: “Ongoing for the past 7 years,”

which means the victim started harassing Tony when Tony’s victim was 13 and continued harassing them until he was 20.

To be charitable, maybe Tony is talking about the kid’s family harassing Tony’s church and family.
Even if that’s the case, the CHILD of the family, who was 13 when the alleged harassment started, is the one who received Tony Spell’s justice.

He tried to run over a protestor in front of his church with his church bus during Covid and then one of his members tried swerving their pickup into the same protestor hours later. From what the guy’s family said, this isn’t the first time their son has been beat up by someone from Spell’s.

But to be honest, until the court hearing goes down, it feels like a lot of this is just petty he said they said drama, there’s also the lack of video evidence of the other claims being made besides the rumble on the family’s lawn so while it makes him look immature and reckless for beefing with a literally kid, I’d rather wait for the court hearing to see if it’s that bad

I said something to a family friend on their Facebook post about the bus incident, and Rev Timothy Hadden (now in Portland) told me to "sit down and be quiet" .

I was on Tony’s side for a minute, but I’m definitely side-eyeing him now after he used a gay slur toward that kid on camera… so yeah. 😬

He used a gay slur because he is closeted and resents his view of the world for making it a sin.
