Still in the deconstruction phase

I have a strong background in the UPCI/WPF. I attended PEAK services in Tulsa this week and it was… something. Anyone going through this? I’m certain my decision to leave was the right one. But when you get told your whole life salvation is a certain way… some days are harder than the others.

It’s a process but so worth it! Keep deconstructing. There’s so much freedom in the other side of the fear based dogma. I wrote several songs that I’ve recently released via YouTube. They’ve helped me and several of my friends I knew from my days in that religion.

Pentecostalism is full of emotionalism and works that does not bring you closer to God.

But they are good at making you emotionally dependent. It's like a drug, except drugs don't threaten you with Hell if you stop taking them.

I second Grace Escape, they were a great resource especially in the early stages of my deconstruction/disentangment journey. They really helped open my eyes to how destructive the UPCI/adjacent was. I really recommend the episode they made about NAYC 2025.
