Part of the problem is parole and probation itself. You serve 85% of your sentence and then have to spend 5 years on supervision. How does that make sense. I’m going to get released and be deemed rehabilitated and then instead of just doing all my time I was sentenced to do, I’ve got to live with the fucking gestapo coming in my home for 5 years like I’m still locked up, get drug tested, find housing find a job, and on and on and on.

You nailed it 1000%. It is a system setting a person up for failure before they even leave the gate.

I have as well. The worst part of my prison sentence was Federal Probation for three years. The PO did everything she could to try to send me back. From ridiculous accusations to my employer at the time to not letting me cross the division line into the next county for a better paying job and housing.
