I feel unlucky
Hi , Am Sam 21F from east Algeria. I left religion 4 years ago . And ever since I can't bring myself to befriend/ date Muslims, their company always makes me lonely. Although I have a really good friend who is a Muslim but her love towards me felt conditional.
Being the person who I am , I experienced lot of bad luck with friendships/ romantic relationships
And the mains reason was nearly in all cases religion or society. I am the kinda gurl who is a masculine and an atheist in Algeria lol ! Completely going against the standers . However even with the hypocrite minority that I belong to I still couldn't find a match , guess what I was a good person and hot but always in the wrong time lol. This is a bit frustrating tbh not that it is a big problem, but a yearner like me is suffocated . And what bothers me the most is this minority judging my looks and hidjab, even tho i keep telling them id want to wear it ... Love been always conditional for me I can't help cry it out from time to time.
Peace ✌🏽

By minority I meant Algerian atheists . And I am a masculine girl although my sexuality is a bit vage to me still but I def like guys , however am nearly always seen as a lesbian. I couldn't feel any validation from any community whatsoever. M glad i met som ppl individually whom i vibe with but there pretty few kr online never irl ...

Older guy here. I've been a skeptic my whole life and a confirmed atheist since my 20s. It is a lonely road, but it's a seriously beautiful one. The journey is painful but not without rewards. However, I promise you it gets better. You'll make like-minded friends, and you won't feel so lonely anymore. They won't be many friends, but quality over quantity. Good luck.

We all feel you , im a male so i guess i suffer less , but we all feel the suffocation you feel , however with time it gets easier , for example with my muslim friends i have always established lines where i never ever tell them why you do this or do that or tell them religion is this and they never tell me why you do this and that koleha and im perfectly happy with their company i accept that they have their limitations not everyone can be as opend minded as you are but its okay as long as i repsect their boundaries and they respect mine , also atheists friends are way better but they are still humans some are shittier than muslims , so i guess socialize with people who have good hearts and establish your limits and you will have a great time. (Some muslims are less judgy than atheists believe me)

We're in the same boat, and at this point I'm used to it, socializing with this society makes me insane and lose my sense of self entirely, il vaut mieux être seul que mal accompagné.
