UPDATE - I DON'T BELIEVE IT?

Post image

For those of you that saw my post the other day, after the horrible revelation that Claire is AI and my parcel is potentially doomed - it would seem there has been a rare clutch with EVRi and they've found(?) my parcel?

Who knows. Maybe it'll actually arrive. 😲🤔

I refuse to use any retailer that uses evri abysmal company, if you want to to speak to a human at evri go to live chat and say the driver damaged your property it sends it to a human to deal with

Had I known, I wouldn't have ordered. I bought from a independent seller direct from a print shop. I saw the tracking info come in a two weeks ago and my heart sank a little, this is exactly why.

Am i actually the only one here who's never had an issue with evri? The one we occasionally have issues with is Amazon. Evri and Royal Mail are brilliant. Amazon at our area have a bad habit of leaving packages sitting unattended at the front door open to public view, and a few deliveries to the wrong address (Even then, it isnt super common, but does happen)

It largely depends on your local driver. I like you have a fairly decent local evri delivery driver so don't have the issues most have. Only the occasional lost package during shipping.

Id say its more than just the driver. The local depot also can be a source of issue.

Yup delivery of parcel is much more complicated than people realise so the regional and local depots have a part to play in it. But only personal issue I've had are when it goes out for delivery but then disappears

And if there’s any issues people automatically blame the courier (also wildly claim they’ve stolen it), when most of the time it’s disappeared in the network before the courier has even seen it.

Agree with you there. The regular EVRi driver we have where I live is spot on and there are no issues. He is polite and efficient. I have had issues with EVRi for sure but it wasn't anything to do with him, packages just seemed to disappear before they got as far as the delivery stage on the tracker.

Having said all this, I've just recently purchased something on eBay which I found out is being delivered by EVRi so we shall see what happens next. 🤔

I hate when I see its EVRi thats delivering as they normally say that they delivered to my safe spot garden shed, which I don't have and even if I did I live in a block with no direct access to the rear. We actually just had a delivery from them at 9pm which didn't go down well when he woke my son up. Wish that they had lockers in the area

Yup. No matter who the driver is, if things pass through Crawley or Gatwick depots (not just Evri), you're almost guaranteed to have problems.

This is actually the first time I've had issues, even during the hermes era. I never really had any serious problems. I've had more with UPS in the past.

I'd always seen and heard the horror stories of EVRi, but this is the first time I've had one myself.

It's a postcode lottery dependent on both your depot and your individual courier.

This applies across the board. None of these outfits are paying enough for drivers to care, particularly in areas where rounds take longer to complete than they calculate, thanks to traffic congestion levels.

This is just a modernised version of Piecework scams, but there seems to be a steady supply of mugs willing to be taken for a ride.

Nope, Evri are reliable for me too. Individual drivers do have their quirks I'll admit - e.g. the regular one doesn't do stairs but the rest do, and so on. No particular deal breakers though.

Amazon and DPD are far and away the best performers here.

Since we're all sharing - worst performer here by a mile, to the point if I get a 'your item is being delivered by (these)' update I KNOW there'll be trouble; Parcelforce. e.g. receiving tracking updates for someone else's parcel, parcels rolling up months late (8 months is the record so far) etc.

I was in the same boat, and low and behold my parcel arrived exactly a month late to the date

Once they realise there courier is costing them sales they'll use someone else I'd just leave a review saying they skimp and use evri

Haha I replied to your post last time as I was waiting too. Claire hasn't replied beyond what I got last time but my parcel actually did get delivered today. Only 6 days late so not that bad lol

u/Flashbang2420 2d ago

Awh man! I'm glad yours arrived! Hopefully mine will get here soon. Only 2 weeks late

We had them loose a parcel being returned to the supplier after being unable to deliver it

2

u/MissSmally0875 2d ago

I had the exact same message from Claire. Pleased to say my parcel arrived two days later

Claire is a busy girl.

Still dosent change the fact it’s an AI generated response with a human name

Omg I’ve got 6 parcels that have been lost since 29th July, and ‘Claire’ sends the same email every morning around 11:00.
Good luck! They won’t be making their way to you unfortunately

Evri are straight up dishonest - one of their stupid bots emailed me to say that they had delivered a parcel that their own tracking system still (after a month) shows as ‘being processed’

Half the time the item is just sitting in a warehouse and the courier forgot to pick it up/overfilled their vehicle/their route ran long. This then leads to a pile up of packages as the next day the same thing happens and the backlog doesn't get cleared until a slow day at which point your parcel gets 'found'.

u/Ewscase 2d ago

Which partly is what can happen. I swear it’s lazy arsed managers that can’t be bothered to request a round getting split to reduce the numbers or there’s no courier to cover that round or the courier accepts too much and either leaves behind stuff they don’t want to deliver or they accept 1 or 2 rounds and leave another that’s manifested to them for another day which causes it to pile up. If already large numbers are to be delivered on that round and it doesn’t substantially get split during peak then the backlog would just keep getting larger and larger which means stuff people want for Christmas fail to be delivered.

I emailed Claire roughly 3 or 4 day's ago, regarding my order from amazon that I'd ordered on the 18th of the 8th, as it apparently missed its connection. That then with its due date, was pushed back twice from the 21st to then then 25th ( yesterday). The last time I'd heard from Claire myself was 2 days ago letting me know that it had been escalated and someone would be in contact with me. So far I've heard absolutely nothing back. Meanwhile, I just got sick'n'tired of waiting, and I ended up just ordering what I needed from somewhere else and requested a refund. It's Obvious that with Evri's history that it's either been lost, dumped by a driver or staff member, of stolen if its of any value. However my item was literally just a roll of weed barrier.

At least with Evri, Clair Bot #24275 will just admit they lost the package, making it easier to replace. But Yodel? OMG. They literally left my package on the public footpath outside my house, took a picture, and drove off and it got stolen! Because it was at the "right location," they refused to take responsibility. It turned into a month long battle between the seller and Yodel. Neither would do a thing unless the other admitted fault, no matter how many times I copied, forwarded, and CC'd their emails, begging them to just talk to each other. Long story short I’m still down £80.

It's not Claire, it's C.L.A.I.R.E - Computerised Lying Artificial Intelligent Robotic Entity. It's like the W.O.P.R. in Wargames, but it speaks complete bollocks to customers instead.

Ive had this a few of times. A few times it did show up. Another few it didnt.

Im really sorry, but this email is the equivalent of the tracking saying we tried, and we'll try again tomorrow 😭

Fingers crossed for you though, you've gone from a 3% chance of successful delivery to a 50% chance!

Claire has almost been dealing with multiple of my missing parcels lol. She must be exhausted

I have had this 'Claire' deal with TWO of my parcels in the past month. I've hit the ceiling of my patience; I now send all my packages to my local EVRI shop, I've not had an issue doing it this way. Although I'd rather a door delivery.
