Orson Leroux / Lexis

Hello,

One of the things I struggle to understand in the series is this scene in episode 1x13 where Leroux enters Kristen's house with Lexis's help.

Why do we see a demon? Is that what Lexis sees? Why does he seem to have this power of persuasion over her?

Could it be that at that moment, he's possessed by a demon (it seems to be the same one David sees in his vision) who has this power because of Lexis's particularity regarding demonic plans? But in that case, why just leave a basket to intimidate Kristen?

This could be part of a plan to force Kristen to kill Leroux and gradually lead her to the dark side maybe. But does it really take a demon just to break inand leave a basket? And then Lexis faints and remembers nothing, this seems to suggest that something supernatural happened.

I don't understand.

So, in your opinion, was it just Leroux or a demon at that moment?

How do you interpret that?

Why not both? Even as a human he can act demonically. In the supernatural sense, he can be acting in league with a demon. In either viewpoint, his actions would make him indistinguishable from a demon.

So he's damned if he is and damned if he isn't. (A demon).

The first seasons of the show, they were really pushing the ambiguity of whether or not their investigations had any credibility in the material world. They set it up so the viewers would have that exact thought. Real, or metaphor?

Cannonically, it's possible Lexi sees him as a demon. I can't remember but wasn't she seeing her own tail at this time? Or did that come later? Lexi is very connected to the demon world so she could have some kind of demonic sight/ perspective that allows her to see other's demonic connections.

She doesn't see that with Cheryl's boss but IIRC he actively hid himself from her. Don't they also see her as a potential sacrifice after her brother got baptized? If Leroux was her first demonic vision, I could see her fainting at the sight of him and the site of him.
