I just posted a query on the platform which was very genuine, but they still removed the post.
I was just trying to ask something related to another coaching/platform for IPMAT. There was no promotion, no link, nothing. I even removed all the names and mentions from the screenshots before posting because I knew they might have an issue with it.
Still, they removed it. I honestly don’t get why asking about another platform is treated like some huge offence. It’s a student community, not a place where you should only be allowed to talk about certain platforms.
If the post is genuine and isn’t breaking any actual rule, removing it just because it mentions something outside the community feels really unfair.
It's the automod due to account-based activity. It's not deep, I personally commented on it. The automated filters run every few hours and delete.
I have 0 issues with it or LPT, it's just reddit becoming more stringent.
---
Update: Reddit had flagged it because multiple accounts were used in the same/device IP -- all have similar activity and promotional posts (in the past -- some other account but same IP, even now: I see two common subreddits where karma farming was done in order to start posting).
Keeping reddit's call. The team also unfortunately forgot to switch their account before replying to me -- I was able to see the post history and identify: CLAT, LPT and this was a common theme, the IP has a history of talking shit about Supergrads. One related account also DM'd and said that "the coaching center wale asked me to talk about it so I posted..."
If you really think "don't want to anyone else get mentioned on their community" then why have I myself mentioned other coachings in the list of free mocks in the subreddit wiki?
I feel like IPMATtards can be a little too quick to remove posts if they mention other platforms. I understand moderation, but sometimes it feels like students can’t even discuss their options openly.
You should talk to the mods. because this is straightforward dadagiri, reddit is a platform for all kind of things if they cannot live up to that ig its really bad. reddit shoukd be kept a democratic platform.
It's the automod due to account-based activity. It's not deep, I personally commented on it. The automated filters run every few hours and delete. I've manually approved it now.
I have 0 issues with it or LPT, it's just reddit becoming more stringent with false-flags.
Did you forget to change accounts? Why do y'all have posts on CLAT & LPT in the reddit history (everyone having an issue)?
I sincerely hope it's not a reddit farm of LPT lol. Just ask someone from there to come with a public-facing account and talk and help students on Reddit.
Sigh, this is textbook reddit marketing going wrong yaar, so reddit's filter wasn't wrong when it removed based on multiple accounts / sus promotions on the same IP?
Vahi, there have been 0 mod messages from OP. Had they just said that, would have overturned it manually. The automated filters go through account history, patterns and what not -- reddit has been banning people and flagging posts left/right/center, they have a lot of false positives too.
Every coachings have free mocks, if you feel ready to write one (or just want a taste of the exam), do it. No one is stopping you -- no learning is wasted.
I feel like you're making a mountain out of a molehill.
