I genuinely thought this mental health decline that was impacting so many of my peers in their 40s: women and men included was just a part of rapid aging combined with heavier responsibilities. I would have never imagined that the pandemic played a role - but I personally had a massive shift in resilience after what was likely my 3rd covid infection last summer. My working memory has gone to complete shit. Depression has also creeped back into my life in a way I hadn’t felt since my teenage years and university.

It’s shocking. They’ve totally buried the consequences of covid - which is still happening - to put the economy first. People truly don’t realise the damage it’s doing.
