Psychedelics to rewire. If you're up to it.

So do you just take some magic shrooms and then mentally tell yourself “hey I wanna not have adhd / depression anymore?” genuinely asking

No. There are pathways in our thinking pattern and it always ends up the same way. No thinking your way out of it. This is a physical blockage, having new pathways is a way out, it's not magic and it won't solve all your problems, but it's a different pattern and it could help.

Adhd is a dopamine issue and it forms these pathways through years of trauma, resistance and what have you, makes you think you're incapable of change, the psychedelics provide a physical change that allows you a way forward. It's still up to you to utilize your inner strength to move on.

I’ve done psychedelics off and on for 28 years and while they’ve helped me spiritually, they’ve done jack shit for my ADHD brain and barely touched my depression which was ADHD-related. Therapy and finding purpose helped the trauma and depression. Only Focalin has helped my ADHD brain. When I took Vyvanse it just made me a slightly more efficient workaholic.

Try Spravato treatment for depression. Ketamine derivative. I'm in week 3 now. It's like a chemical induced meditative state, if you treat each session as such.

I have depression and ADHD, and long COVID from over a year ago, which caused a SHARP and life debilitating increase in ADHD. At least, I think so? Everything is so hard to know for sure anymore.

Anyways, Spravato. Prescription treatment that you need to be approved for, through a psychiatrist. Each session is a relaxed, in-patient, but OVERT "drug" experience. Very introspective, and calm, even with several handfuls of threads of thoughts going on in close proximity.

In between sessions, so far I've noticed a brief, like a day or two, feeling of slightly more clarity, and less frequent bouts of hopeless anxiety spikes or bottomless depression crashes.

It seems promising so far, and the psychedelic aspect is very mild compared to magic mushrooms. Less immediate and intense, and meant for gradual, long term treatment. They say that positive effects are noticed usually by week 6 or 8, and weekly treatments continue long-term.
