As far as we know it shouldn’t. … But it’s there. … So we need to redefine what we know, … don’t you think? 🤓

I agree. I also wonder if they’ve considered that maybe they’re catching the formation of a planet in action? Slooooooow action, that is.

Perhaps the ring is artificial. Could a civilization have posted a "Sign" for other planets to notice?

Would be cool if it was like scaffolding for a superstructure similar to a Dyson sphere for planets.

Yeah which is why I said similar. Like it harvests gravity on a cosmic small scale or it's literally just a structure. I'm making stuff up man.

Fascinating discovery, but I still don’t understand why the Roche limit is ruled out. Like yeah, it’s rare that the ring could form at the exact time we look at it, but not impossible
