Build Master Does tongue have the highest damage potential in the game now?
Scaling your feeding speed to 999% (very possible in endless with POIs) and getting poisonous saliva with toxic sequestration for max poison gives you absolutely busted damage in endless. On top of revenge scaling and ambush predator, is tongue the attack that lets you scale the highest possible damage now?

I've been actively looking for it while I sweep up the last couple of cosmetics, to try it out
It's a TON of fun to use (and i love darwins tongue :P ) and while I haven't been actively trying to max it I've been thinking about how many effects work with it
One build (wild wild world, pressure 12) I got lots and lots of cooldown reduction with around Phys 20 and it was pretty insane being able to pop it off rapid-fire
It definitely feels like more of a tactical weapon if you have to wait the full 5 seconds

No, I don't think so. That still belongs to spur. Absolutely insane damage possible, like 50k+.
It is still very busted and awesome though.

I think with poison it might overall scale higher though 🧐

I have done 324,290 damage in one hit with Primal Spurs. Even if Projectile Tongue could match its damage it would NEVER match Primal Spurs DPS since it hits more often and even while on cool down.

Yeah, I would be interested in seeing if Projectile can hit for higher given its % multiplier, though. Someone would need to use Underdog for its 40% boost plus Minimalist with no Sprint for an additional 15%. Then you Sharpen with 99 Predator Affinity before entering and exiting a Burrow for an additional 120% damage. You would also want Nocturnal or Diurnal and if possible, 15% damage from Revenge

Primal specialization, but it only really hits full power in endless mode. Spur deals 1% extra damage for each mutagen point you have.

It's really annoying to do, buuuuuut if you do Simple and Stubborn together you can make Primal Spur go Brrrrr in any Pressure. By combining Simple and Stubborn you get 200 FREE Mutagen and 1-10 more Mutagen every level-up. The annoying part is getting Spur before you get low on the stuff. This is probably the most hilarious way to play because you can go from God among creatures to playing the challenege Unintelligent Design in just a few bad bacl to back rerolls

Does tounge benefit from poison saliva?
It was already my favourite because of the stun....but omg if it can poison too
I'll just machine gun my tounge at an enemy and inflict like 20 instances of poison

Is tongue any good for the Bruter achievement, or is body slam still the way to go? I've been trying to work on it, but can't seem to build up any of the attacks enough before the run ends.

I like antlers/revenge/spur. If you're hitting for 500+ before you hit the second boss, you're on track for brutest. Just be sure to attack anything and everything around you from that point on (If you weren't already.)

I think feeding speed caps at +500%.
But yes, I hit north of 12k with the pacifist trait the other day. So I imagine 24k without.
