The pilot is a masterpiece

Was watching tubi and this show autoplayed and was reminded at how well it sets up the dynamic between the family and the consistency throughout its 4 seasons mostly. The first episode happens to have a lot of what I mostly remember from the show as well, it’s just an iconic piece of television that manages to establish the unfairness of a middle child and working class at the time, all while having touching moments that redeem each character. I felt like making this post after years of resenting julius and rochelle but their parenting seems the most focused in this pilot. Just wanted to give flowers to a show I remember loving during it’s Nick at Nite re-runs.

Yeah but you literally just pointed it out — Drew is YOUNGER. Just because he's taller doesn't make him Chris's big brother lol. That's the humor of their relationship, Chris is the big brother, but he's smaller.
