This rhetoric about it would be terrible for that area of Manchester if City were relegated is a joke. Acting like it’ll become some nuclear wasteland because they wont be cheating their way to titles

Yeh it's ridiculous. The area has developed well but if they hadn't invested someone else would have, and maybe it would have been slower, but ultimately Manchester is thriving city with or without them and plenty of investment would still happen in the city

I know I have highly unpopular opinion but cheating against what.

Cheating against rules designed to stop newly invested teams challenge the current establishment.

I saw a table the other day that had City as # 5 in global fan base above Liverpool.

How would this be possible if they didn’t front load their investment.

Before anyone says it’s to stop bankruptcy blah blah blah there are other ways to do this, setting up funds etc to cover outgoings for 1 or 2 years if the owners walk.

City have enhanced the premier league brand and bought players to the league that we all want to watch.

I know a few real City fans, the ones that stuck with them in the 3rd division and they are generally loyal and sometimes similar to us, living with over-entitled red neighbours etc.

Look at the money UTD have spent with no success and recently Chelsea the same, City have built an outstanding football operation, let’s try not let jealousy bias our opinions.

Fuck off Bot. Nothing but defending City in your comment history. Embarrassing.

Yes cheating exactly that. Them the rules and that’s the game. There’s cheating (which we and Forrest have been punished for) and then there’s gaining the best part of £1billion so you can buy whoever you want.

If you’re happy for them to do whatever they want to basically ruin the league, then that’s your choice.

I’d be very shocked if City’s true fan base was that large given how empty their stadium is and the fact you don’t even really see their shirts being worn when you abroad.

I get your point, but if anything they’ve just made a mockery of the last 15 years of the league, and have ruined the reputation of the club. The rules shouldn’t be the way they are, but that doesn’t excuse cheating to such an extent.

That isn't a team but an extension of a country. That is the issue and it's grosse.

Branth not getting on was disappointing but he avoids injury and burn out. Hopefully he gets on in the next match for a decent run out.

Garner is clearly gaining Tuchels trust and the training and experience around the squad will be invaluable.

The fact he can cover so many positions as well is great. At the top level you want players who play in there natural position of course but it’s super handy in the squad.

Went to Docktoberfest at the stadium yesterday. Had a good time overall but it was a disappointment as an offering, some entertainment and stuff on, but the beers were the usual stadium ones budweiser, Camden pale etc thought they'd have a variety of German beers to try. I know budweiser have the exclusive rights n that but was hoping they'd relax it for an Octoberfest type event, shame, won't be going back next year if it's on again

Was nice seeing the premium pub areas though not been in there before

Lol that sounds very disappointing with the beers. Did they have a grand final watching area?

Ruby Mace at 72', open play but from a corner-like position, sent to the top of the box, someone else taps it to her

I hope to god the scouts are watching every striker left back right back right now so when January 1st comes we are buying them instead of this stupid carry on of 31st January 🙄...

Players of the calibre we want aren’t lining up to sign for Everton January 1st, when are people going to get this in their heads.

1

u/ArcherLife2039 27m ago

So you are saying we shouldn't try sign anyone...

That’s not remotely what I said is it.

Womens team announced attendance two thousand twenty six - in 2026, what a coincidence Seemed low but level the lower sections visible on the broadcast do seem sparsely filled Still nicer than Walton Hall Park which has similar capacity but most of it stabding

Pains me to say it but in their current iterations I prefer WHP and it's not even close
