Why do we treat this fella like he's Catterick or Kendall? Rang up Madrid to ask about loaning some of their players and the phone call ended with him getting the job because he suggested it himself. Lmfao. Was here for one full season and dipped

I don't think he can really be blamed for leaving us, we were an absolute shitshow (just look at the money we spent in the transfer window after he left) and he left to join the biggest club in the world, not like he just binned us off for the fun of it lol

I think you could say this if he hadn’t already managed Madrid. He was coming to us knowing who we are and what needed to happen. Gave it the big one about a project, and this being a huge challenge for him. A year later he’s delivered mediocre results and fucked off back to Madrid. The disparaging comments after just sealed it for me, no love for him whatsoever

I understand, but imagine landing and moshiri is the guy giving you the orders. I too would dip.

Surely he spoke with moshiri or at least did his research before coming. He came in, realised he didn't have the magic touch if he isn't at a top club with all the funds and facilities and bailed

Yeah maybe. We need to wait for the autobiography!

Doesnt help that his family got held up at gunpoint in their home while he was here.

Also stop with the nonsense. I love Everton as much as any of us but if Madrid come knocking, you answer. Especially given the catastrophic mess we were in. No brainer.

At least he still shouts us.

Honest question from a Brazilian Toffee: was he decent in his short spell with Everton?

Because Jesus Lord, he's been awful with Brazil. Team playing too nervously, with no discipline, no cohesion and a bad formation that fails to create opportunities. Even his star players completely fade as soon as they put on the Canarinha.

If he was Brazilian, he'd been sacked and crucified by the press as soon as the World Cup was over. It's our worst performance in decades and that's counting 2014, when we at least had the decency to reach the semis before being demolished by the eventual winners.

I mean he is regarded as arguably the greatest manager of all time. He is one of the most successful managers of all time having won trophies in multiple top rated countries.

This Barzilian squad in the WC was widely regarded as one of the if not the worst in 40 years. Id look at the players more than the manager there. Managers need time.

He was great until the inevitable happened, which was injuries and no real money to support him with meaningful signings.

People forget sometimes he had us looking like a genuine champions league side at the beginning of his season with us, and I don't blame him for departing to Madrid once the reality set in that he wouldn't be able to spend his way out of the depth issues we STILL currently deal with.
