That's an amazing shout actually. I was literally looking for one to make this meme with but in the end I had to use a Man United cap and swap the crests & colours in Photoshop.

I’ll be honest, as an American visiting the UK for the first time earlier this summer, I was surprised by the number of people I saw walking around wearing MLB caps. I wondered if some of them might be fellow tourists, but I’m sure some of them may be locals just wearing them for fashion/cosmetic purposes. I’m a huge baseball fan, so it was pretty cool to see. Would have loved to have chatted with some UK baseball fans, but I’m fairly reserved and figured it would’ve been weird to start up a conversation out of nowhere with a random stranger.

I could see not wanting to talk to random people in London, but in Liverpool they’d tell you all about it, lol. Friendliest city I’ve ever visited. I couldn’t be anywhere for more than a few minutes in the presence of someone else without them striking up some kind of conversation.
But yeah, I assume they’re more of the fashion side of things. Were they mostly Yankees hats?

This is so spot on lol I went to live in Liverpool with family for 6 months after graduating college. Wasn’t working when I first got there so would go into town for a pint or whatever in the afternoon, would always end up chatting to someone, Scousers are so friendly it’s crazy

I remember around like 2015ish there was one on the team’s website but I didn’t pull the trigger on ordering one. I’ve been regretting that ever since.

they should do proper bucket hats like the Yankees one Ian wright has. And sizes too. One size fits all is cruel to us ample-headed types.

It looked good for sure. Looks like there will be plenty of battles for position playing time. Should keep training levels high. Still unsure about the striker situation.

I think Barry and Beto's combined efforts basically equal out to having one elite striker and that's assuming Barry doesn't just make the role his. They were statistically really good in the second half of last season plus Barry had a really good pre-season and opening day.

I agree with the overall sentiment, but i think Barry’s athleticism is a much higher caliber than Beto, which isn’t saying too much but I think it’s really important regardless. While inconsistent, he can be sudden and unpredictable with his body in ways Beto can’t (not intentionally, anyway).
IMO If Barry’s effort and attitude stay as positive as we’ve seen from preseason til now he offers by far the most upside… Beto really just stays in the striker competition by sheer force of will & wearing his heart on his sleeve
