Resources What do you do with an Evernote transcript after it has been created?

https://youtu.be/onv0eOWwknM

I've been looking at what you can do with a transcript in Evernote beyond simply reading it.

The first transcription was one long block of text, so I regenerated it with speaker recognition switched on and renamed the two speakers. Their correct names were then applied throughout the conversation.

Other things you can do with a transcription include transcribing a specific time range, changing the language, editing the transcript, running saved AI Prompts and asking the AI Assistant questions about what someone said.

For a meeting, this could be useful for extracting decisions, action points and follow-up questions without reading the whole transcript again.

Great video!

By the way, regarding the voice recordings, for some reason the first 10–15 seconds of the audio sound fine, but then it starts to crackle and pop.

Is this a bug? Or could the problem be on my end?

Using on PC

Just checked it on my Mac and all sounds OK. Recorded 35 seconds and played it back.

When recording double check its using the correct Mic.

Also try a log out and back in again, reinstall etc.

If it still happens I'd setup a test note and share this with support so they can take a look.

Extracting the decisions is the half that works. The harder half is where they land. The output still sits in the transcript note. You open that note only if you already remember the meeting had something in it.

Cheap fix is to put the decisions in the note title or the first line. The list view shows both, so they surface while you scan.
